There She Goes Release NIGHT!!!

I used my There She Goes stamp from this set for my iced tea with lemon. Then my girl with sentiment is from this set at My Favorite Things. My white cs is Bazzill in orange peel texture. The frame around the image is Teresa Collins. The swirlie is Tinkering Ink. I used my Spicas to color the image and raffia to tie my charm on. I don't remember where the charm is from as it was loose in my box. Oh and the red shiny cs is a found scrap. TFL

OCCC - Hearts!!!!!

For the Our Creative Corner Challenge USE HEARTS
Ok, they asked for them and I gave em' HEARTS! Most of what you see here came from this Keep In Touch kit. I layered my pp onto white cs. I used some dimensionals to raise the top note piece and the pp onto chocolate Bazzill cs. Now just in case the 5 hearts on the right weren't enough, the heart charm has little flowers on it and each petal of each flower is heart-shaped. Oh No! Did I take it too far??? Heehee.

Ingredients:
Keep In Touch Kit
Prima Marketing Co. - bg pp
Heart Charm - my jewelry stash
Thickers - flourish
Making Memories - rub on sentiment
Doodlebug - brads

pcpColorChallenge - Maroon Bonnets

The state flower of Texas is the Bluebonnet. But in recent years they've created a hybrid called the " Texas Maroon Bonnet" pictured above. Now, I must admit I prefer the original "Bluebonnets" but for the challenge I wanted the flower to go with the Regal Rose and I just got these BRAND SPANKIN' NEW Bluebonnet & tiny Dragonfly stamps from Texana Designs and HAD to use them!!!

Now I used some scraps toput this one together. The background pp is matted on the white cs. Then the pink with the scalloped edge is from the back of an envelope. You can't really see it in this photo but it's a two toned pink with a swirlie pattern on it. The matte for the image is a pice of Bazzill scrap. The image is stamped on white cs and then embossed with Black Sparkle ep. I colored the images in and then added some glitz with Stickles.
Ingredients:
Stickles
Bazzill
The Paper Studio
Watercolor pencils
Spica
Stampabilities
This card was created for the Color Challenge at PCP.
The colors were:
Regal Rose
Kiwi Kiss
Pacific Point
Very Vanilla

It's a 2-fer! SNSPCPSC2 & CCJAN2409

How-dee!
I received a box of ordered goodies plus some freebies from Keep In Touch Card Kits today!!!! When I ordered the Paper Salon - Glad Rags Notebook paper, my intention was to scrap some of my grandson's birthday pictures with it. But then I came across this color challenge
At Stampin' Up with Ashley's spot on PaperCraftPlanet. Plus I wanted to play with Korin Sutherland's sketch challenge for Sweet "N Sassy also on PCP and I came up with this...

Ingredients:

Paper Salon - Glad Rags Notebook pp

Teresa Collins - Travelogue - pp

Bits & Baubles - Keep In Touch kits

Crate Ribbons

Deanne Burton at A Scrap Addict's sketches Here's the sketch...
Here's my card. Ok so I took some liberties. But I was trying to think "Outside" the box! LOL

I used my Cuttlebug with my Sizzix and Provo Craft lamb dies. I love these little critters!
The sentiment is computer generated and I used my postage stamp die to cut the yellow paper and my square punch to cut the matte. All sheep are on Bazzill cs. The yellow paper & the floral pp are Basic Grey. Flowers are from Bo Bunny and the ribbon is from Crate Ribbons. Brad is Doodlebug.

jan17sos - It's a Boy!

Created for the challenge at A Scrap Addicts sketches . Not a difficult sketch at all!

Here's my card:

Some friends just had their first grandbaby last week. This one's for Timmy & Tim (the Grans) & Sean (the uncle)! Of course they had a boy and he's a little "Prince"!

Background is Bazzill textured cs. The matte (crooked on purpose, this stuff is hard to cut) is a craft paper that is embossed with a floral pattern. The little frog "prince" is from Imaginisce and he is stamped twice. Once on the baby blue cs and 2nd on the plain white cs. They are layered with dimensionals. The pp is from Autumn Leaves Little Rascal collection. 80% of this card's ingredients came from a kit from Keep In Touch kits.

MFTSC66 - miss you...

It looks a lot like Christmas, but it's NOT!

I got off to a VERY slow start today. Maybe it has something to do with the weather we've been having here in NC Texas. Two days of freezing rain and below freezing temps. Finally today we got up into the 40s. What a heat wave! LOL
Ok, patience, now to my card. As I mentioned above, it was NOT my intention to make this look like a Christmas card. It just happened that way. Both the image and the sentiment are no name stamps. I used my Spicas to color the image and then I added some little rhinestones to add some bling. I totally love the stamp! The image is stamped on white cs then mounted on red weave textured cs then mounted on a medium green cs. The sentiment is stamped on white and then mounted on the red weave cs. The base is red weave cs. Layered on that are two pieces of scraps and some of the green cs edged with a star edger. My heart charm is an old jewelry piece. I think it works in this case. Created for:

Ingredients:

Jenni Bowlin - pp
Bazzill - cs
Spica - markers
Kaiser - rhinestones

CPS100

Fun things going on at CPS this week. They are celebrating their 100th sketch challenge!!! And I wanted to play! Here's my card.

I cut my cupcakes out with my Cricut and mounted them all on Love Elsie's cupcake embossed cs. I've been hoarding this cute stuff for months! I mounted the cs on We R Memory Keepers orange cs from the White Out collection. The lower sentiment is a Rhonna Farrer rub - on. The upper sentiment is Alphabities. The ribbons are from Crate. The blue pp is from Prima. Assorted flowers, rhinestones, and the butterfly brad were leftovers from a kit. Tags are chipboard with pp adhered, then I distressed the edges with an emory board.

TWGD#64, love

The guest designer sketch challenge on Sketches! by Tamara Wheeler was one I wanted to particpate in. So....
This card came together rather quickly as I had to hurry and go cook dinner. But I used my Creative Memories custom cutting system to cut three separate pieces of cardstock: 1 white, 1 red and 1 patterned. Then I cut the red and the patterned in half. That made my white cardstock have a hinge. I layered the pieces one on top of the other both front and back. Then I stamped my image on plain white cs. I used some gold embossing powder to add some depth and definition to the rose. Then I used my water color pencils to color it in. I mounted the finished image on an oval of red cs. Then using dimensionals I raised the red oval. The sentiment is a rub - on.

Ingredients:
Making Memories - pp & rub - ons
Little Yellow Bicycle - rub - ons inside sentiment

Thanks for looking.

MOJO71, TSG03

Ok, it took me 2 days to figure out what I was going to do with this sketch. I knew I wanted a Valentine's Day themed card. I found this little stamp in my stash. It's from a Scarlet Lime kit. I used a Marvy Matchables ink pad in red to stamp my image. The pp on the left is from Jenni Bowlin and the one on the right is from daisyds. The rhinestone brads are from Karen Foster. The flowers and button are from another Scarlet Lime kit.

My image/sentiment is mounted on red cs and then on black corrugated cs. The two pp are mounted on black corrugated and then on the red cs. Everything is then mounted on the white base. All raised elements are popped up with Sticky Doos from The Paper Studio. This takes care of two challenges: MOJO Monday #71 Sketch & TSG03 Going Dimensional! I'm thrilled with the way this one turned out!

Very Verv-e-Licious!!! 4 Sketches!!!

Use some hardware!!!
Hope this watch face counts!!!
Here's the challenge thread, so come on PLAY ALONG!!!

These pattern tags were a Christmas gift from my daughter Jessi. They have no labels on them. But I loved the way they all went together. I simply added some stamps from There She Goes and 100 Proof Press as well as a brad from Doodlebug. I highlighted my dragonfly's wings and tail with beads from Magic Scraps. This challenge was so much fun! So THANKS Julee & Amber!

VERVE Week 2 Challenge with a Twist

The {Twist} this week is another easy one! BLING! Gimme glitter! Gimme Stickles! Gimme Rhinestones! Gimme anything BLINGY! Sound good? Alright!

Say it with Crystals is my BLING! I added them to this flourish pp from Scenic Route. I used my Verve stamp - Joshua 24:15 for the sentiment - But as for me and my house we shall serve the Lord. Encore! ink in Copper was used to stamp the verse and to edge the cardstock. I mounted the two feature pieces on Bazzill brown linen textured cs. Then everything is mounted on a peach colored cs.

VERVE Week 3 Challenge with a Twist

The {twist} this week is to use PINK on your card! Every girl loves pink, so I'm sure it isn't THAT hard of a challenge

This one is mounted on silver cs. I used stamps for both Hanna Stamps & Little Paper Shop on this one. I just loved the little pup holding the heart, so I made him my focus. I stamped him twice and colored both images in with my Spica markers. Then using pop dots layered one on top of the other. I did the same thing with the bone. The charm is hard to see, but it's a doggie bowl and around the side of the bowl it reads :Feed Me! I cut Pink Paislee pp for my backdrop behind my images as well as the scalloped border. I edged the pink cs with my Martha Stewart scalloped circle punch edger. I used an Urban Lily Rub-on for my sentiment. I mounted the red on top of some corrugated cs.

VERVE Week 4 Challenge with a Twist
The {TWIST} this week is to use FLOWERS! They can be paper flowers, silk flowers, flower stamps, flower dp, flower brads, whatever you want!

Some friends of ours lost their youngest son last week. So this card has a special meaning for me. The border/frame was cut from an American Greeting birth announcement. I just loved all the emboosed detail on it (what you can not see by the photo is there are swirlies and flowers all around). The flower and butterfly came from a Scarlet Lime kit. The stamp is from Little Paper Shop. Cardstock is We R Memory Keepers. Finally, I used Art Glitter on my butterfly.

Whew! If you stuck it out to here, THANKS!

sk012409 You are some kind of Wonderful!

Sketch Challenge sk012409 - January 24 at PaperCraft Planet.

This sketch was really fun to work on. I used my Cricut to cut out the red cardstock and the 3 hearts. I used some rub ons on the red background. I also used a rub on for my sentiment as I didn't have a stamp to say what I wanted.

Instead of using ribbon on this I cut some of the cardstock and mounted it with brads. The flower stem is chipboard and was colored with a pen.

Cute Card Thursday's Challenge #44 - But I'm Not Tired!

Challenge 44 at Cute Card Thursday
Create a Scene
This week we would like you to create a scene on your cards!

This card evolved from something my grandson ALWAYS says when we tell him it's nap time, "But I'm Not Tired". I realize this is a little girl but I think if I cut off her pigtails I might be able to transform her into a little boy named Zackary. LOL

My image came from Treehouse Stamps I stamped her then colored her with watercolor pencils and then cut her out. I then stamped my background (stars) with two shades of blue ink and heat embossed. I added my ribbons and mounted it on a navy blue shiney cardstock (no name). I used pop dots to mount my little girl and added some flowers and my sentiment and Voila!

A couple of days behind with MOJO Monday #70 & Tamara's Recipe Challenge #32

I always play along with Julee's MOJO Monday challenges. However, it's never taken me this long to get it done before. I missed the debut on Monday as I was out of town and yesterday was a doctor day. So I created this card today using my Verve stamps! Everything is mounted on white cardstock. The pink paper is mulberry and the green pattern paper is embossed with the Swiss Dots folder in my Cuttlebug. The hot pink on the pp is glass beads. Ingredients:
PP - Cosmo Cricket & We R Memory Keepers
Stamps - Verve
Pens - Spica
Glass Beads - Darice Finishing Touches

This card was made for Tamara Wheeler's Recipe Challenge. Create a card or layout using the following items:

Lined Notebook paper
Ink/Paint

I smudged my notebook paper with my Vivid! Sky Blue ink pad. I stamped my little birdie and colored it in with my Spica pens. The sentiment is a rub-on. Ingredients:

Tamara Wheeler's Guest Designer Sketch #60

Tamara's Guest Designer this week is Riley Fitzgerald. Riley's favorite Card she has made since being on the Sketches! Design Team was using Card Sketch #60.
I've played with this sketch before. It gives me fits trying to line those four strips up just perfectly! Its a hit and miss game with me.
Firstly, I inked my D'Vine Swirls embossing folder with Vivid! Ink in sky blue. Then I placed white cardstock inside and debossed, is that a word? Anywho, I used the negative side. Then I took my sky blue Spica pen and colored in the recesses. Cut this into strips. Set that aside.
Next I worked on my frog "Prince". I stamped him in Country Green Color Blast Dye. I colored his body with my Spicas in Melon & Olive. Then I used the Country Green and sponged it for the ground. I used the Vivid! sky blue and Color Box blue lagoon to sponge the sky. Set that aside.
Then I stamped my dragonfly in Color Box Charcoal. I used my Spica pen in Tourquoise to color his wings. Sponged the blue lagoon and the sky blue on the sky here too.
Stamped my Happy Birthday with Vivid! sky blue.
I used a Doodlebug brad on my sentiment.

Hand written sentiment on inside.

3 Cards today!

Cupid Valentine Isn't he adorable?! I think so. I stamped him first then I used both pencils and Spicas to give him some life. I mounted him on Cosmo Cricket's forget me not pp (chocolate side). I embossed the same paper (front side) with the D'Vine folder in my Cuttlebug and mounted it on the chocolate as well. This card was made for the Alota Rubber Stamps sketch challenge at PCP.

Ingredients: Cosmo Cricket, Alota Rubber Stamps, Crate Ribbon, Spica

SCS - Emboss Resist

I stamped my image in white ink on white cs. Then I embossed. Then I smudged with my ink pad. I used a tissue to rub off the excess ink. Then I stamped the red image (Alota Rubber Stamps)with the white ink as well. I embossed it and then I used my Copic Red to color it. Pretty fun technique, give it a try. Charm reads: I heart my mommy.

Ingredients: Alota Rubber Stamps, Eyelet Lace from Hobby Lobby, Copic Markers, Mulberry paper, Ruban Ribbon, Hobby Lobby $1 bin for charm

This one is for the challenge at Taylored Expressions
TECC51 - "Hello" Kitty This photo does not do justice to this card. It is really a lot prettier than it looks.

I used a beautiful pale purple paper that has silver filligree embossed into it as my background. Then I backed that with two shades of Bazzil purple dotted cs. I stamped my images on white cs. Then I used more of the purple dotted cs to make my ribbons (I am in a very short supply of purple ribbon). The little flowers are brads. "Hello" was stamped in white ink and embossed with clear embossing powder. Copics colored in the flowers and cat's eyes. I am GA-GA for this card! Hope you like it too!!!

Ingredients:Bazzill, Cat's Pajamas, Copics, Scarlet Lime, Doodlebug, Encore!

That is all folks!

OCCC - Gift for a Friend

OCC Color Challenge - This week's challenge is to use two shades of blue along with a neutral color.
Instead of creating a card this week I chose to create a framed mixed media piece. Shhh... this is a gift for one of my "Sue" friends. Since my pattern paper (Prima Doris Castle Designs) was two toned blue (with a few others as well) I chose to use the white frame as my neutral.
The frame came in a Scarlet Lime Kit. The brads and flowers are from Imaginisce. I used rubons to add something extra to the piece.
My ribbon was a scrap and the jewel was an old earring. You can't really tell by the photo but it is riddled with stones!
Sentiment reads:
Once in a young lifetime one should be
allowed to have as much sweetness as one
can possibly want to hold.
Judith Olney

Sue has been expecially sweet to me over the past few months. We are quite "new" "fast friends.
She is a "SWEET" addition to my life!

Ingredients:
Prima Marketing - pp
Imaginisce - brads, flowers
Fancy Pants & My Minds Eye - rubons
Scarlet Lime - frame
Kaiser - rhinestone for bird's eye

alota2 - Ooh - La- La

Alota Rubber Stamps Challenge #2 - Make a circle card. Make a card with lots of circles on it. Or a card with one big circle on it. Well this is my take and I hope she qualifies. :-) This little lady is one of my most favorite stamps! I "get" her!

Ooh - La- La seemed appropriate. She came together with BoBunny pattern paper, Imaginisce florals, ribbons and brads, glitter pens, round scalloped and oval punches. The Ooh - La - La sentiment and the little butterflies are from a Keep In Touch kit.

TFL. I'm off to undecorate my house from Christmas...

Have a GREAT day!

Belli Challenge: With a constant flow of new things coming out, we tend to forget about the other things we have and they quickly become clutter!
This weeks, Belli Challenge is to make a project with a NEW STAMPS (use any new stamps that you haven't inked up yet) or TIME theme (new year, new time for us all)
Here is what you need to do...
1. Anyone Can Play! Spread the Word! :)
2. Make a completed project with the NEW STAMPS (use any new stamps that you haven't inked up yet) or TIME theme (new year, new time for us all) THEME
3. Share the link in the comments on Chrissy's Blog and CBC49. When you post to Splitcoaststampers or Paper Craft Planet or to your Blog, be sure and put CBC49 as the KEYWORD and mention of the challenge - with a link!

Here's my sample.

Thanks for your patience...

Challenge Inspiration Piece

Jewelry Color Inspiration Challenge at Stampin With Stacey's blog.
I tried to adhere to the colors as closely as possible. I found this card design in Paper Crafts Mag. (YOU, GO GIRL) pg 25. I used Cloud9 Chocolate Chalet stickers and bits of scraps from cardstock and pattern paper to piece the gal's dresses and the stripes on the edge. I think the sentiment on the inside should read "LET'S GO SHOPPING!!!
This card was totally fun to make!

This card was created for the challenge at The Cat's Pajamas and Jacksonbelle Sketch Challenge.

Ingreients:
Family sent. - AdornIt
Crystal flowers - Kaiser
Crystal Swirls - Say it in crystals
Everything else was a freebie.

Viva La Verve!!! VLVJano1, Bug me anytime...

"Happy Friday! There's a new Friday challenge in town! Starting today, the oh-so talented Amber Hight is heading up a twisted sketch challenge in our Verve SCS forum each week. Every Friday she'll be adding a new Viva la Verve sketch challenge with a twist of using something with the sketch. Come play along! Each month we'll choose a random participant from all of that month's entries to receive the next Verve release for FREE! Woohooo! Verve stamps are not required to participate, but if you've got 'em, why not flaunt 'em? ;)" quoted from Julee Tillman of Verve.

MFTSC62, CPS97

I have been very busy this afternoon...
I created two cards today; one for My Favorite Things Challenge #62 at SplitcoastStampers.com, the other for CPS challnge #97. Both sketches were fun to play with.
I received some new products in the mail last week so I decided to use them to create this 'bird-day' card. My nephew, Stephen turns 18 in February so I decided to make this card for him.

Deets:
Stamp - Verve
PP - Basic Grey
PP - no name - green
Brads - DBD
Brads - PC - Art Accentz - Bradletz - Dragonfly
Ribbon - Pink Paisley - Sweet Cakes
Sentiment - Computer Generated

Wedding - Congratulations
This one was quite a challenge. I used my Creative Memories Cutting System to cut my holes. Then I used my Cuttlebug to emboss the Swiss Dots on my background cs. I punched my image with my simple round punch. Then I added a frame using my scalloped circle punch.

Deets:
DBD - Clear Stamps - Wedding
Pink Paisley - Ribbons - Sweet Cakes
Imaginisce - Flowers & Brads
Karen Foster - Royal Regal Brads
Creative Imaginations - Glass Pearl Brads
The Paper Studio - pp - Denim Red
Bo Bunny Stuck Ups - Flowers

Thanks for looking.
Hope you are enjoying the holidays.
