MOJO MONDAY #93 - Happy Birthday

Hello Again:
I've still been playing too much Farm Town. But we finally got rain today and I felt like it was a good day to spend some time crafting. So today's card is for the MOJO Monday sketch #93. I loved this sketch so much I just wanted to play with it. My pp is from DCWV Pocket Full of Posies Stack. The stamps are from My Favorite Things. Yep that's rtight -- 4 Nesties go ahead count them. :o)

SASSC21 - Domo Arigato

Hello:
This is a late night post. I just have been playing too much Farm Town and not creating enough. So a friend challenged me last night to finish one, possibly two cards before the end of the week. I got this one made tonight. I love her, my little Geisha. She says, "Domo Arigato". Which translates to "Thank You, Very Much". This card was created for The Fresh Batch at Stamps & Smiles. She's also my card for the Asian swap at my Card_Crafts Group at Yahoo.com. TFL

JBE059 - Happy Anniversary...

Hello:
The scanner is lousy on dimensional cards. Honestly this card is so cute in real life. It says, "Happy Anniversay..." on the outside and "...to the love birds." on the inside. Anyhoo, this card is for our friends Sue & Rick Meyer. They are away in Branson, Missouri for a LONG weekend and have entrusted hubs and myself with the care of their Jessie Lou (Rhodesian Ridgeback). Jessie is a sweetie but she misses her mom and dad... She keep sbarking at me???

On to the card. This one is for the sketch challenge at Jacksonbelle Tuesday. It's a sketch challenge and I think I followed the sketch pretty closely.

SSS09 - God Bless America

Hello Again:
This one was created for the 9th sketch challenge with a twist at Sweet N Sassy Stamps - The Sweet Stop. The twist was to use RED, WHITE & BLUE. Again, hubs took the camera to work and I couldn't take a photo (had to scan). Hate when that happens!
Anyway, to tell you a little about the little log cabin. This is a piece of a gift bag I just and mounted on red cs then used my black Copic marker on the edge. I just loved the image so much and thought it would make a good image for the card. I'm very pleased with the way this one turned out. Sentiment is computer generated. Thanks to Kaiser for the rhinestones and pearls. The ribbon hardware is from We R Memory Keepers. TFL

PCPCUTTLEBUG-ERS#31 - MOJO92 -- In HIS Time

Howdy:
I am late with this post for my Cuttlebug-ers Sunday Challenge #31 but I finally got it accomplished. The challenge is to use embossing borders on your cs to create a frame for your image. It's a 2-fer though because I used the MOJO Monday Sketch to create this card. First I ran my cs through the Cuttlebug with the deckle edge Nestie. I cut the inner rectangle. Then I took some matching peachy looking cs and some clear vellum and overlaid them. Then I sent my card stock back through the CB using With Love flowered embossing folder. I smudged with my Marvy ink pad in Pale Orange over the embossed areas (YOU DON'T HAVE TO DO THIS I ONLY DID IT FOR THE EXAMPLE SO YOU COULD SEE THE BORDER).

Love these stamps from Sweet N Sassy!

Thanks for Looking!

USS10 - For my Friend

Hello:

Well, it's true confessions time. I'm ADDICTED to Farm Town on FaceBook! But I do believe, I am NOT alone! LOL

Needless to say, I've been preoccupied lately with this game and haven't been doing much creating. Except in the pattrerns and designs on my farm. :o) Today I had issues with Farm Town and couldn't get on to play sooo. I created the card you see below. However, when it came time to photograph my card, I remembered hubs took my camera to work today. So I had to scan. So that this brings things into perspective my colors are purple, orange, yellow, red, brown and white. The scanner turned my pruple blue. Waaaaahhh...

Anyhooo, thar she blows!!!

SASSC19 - Happy Lolly-days!

Hi There:
Hope you stay a while and paruse my blog. Lots to see.
About a month ago, I won some blog candy from Jennifer Meyer of Stamps & Smiles. I won the BONUS pack! The stamps used in my card today are from one of her collections. It would be the set that I fell in 'LOVE' with on release night. The DT had used this set in so many different and attractive ways. I just wanted them for my own. Alas, their creations were not for sale or giveaway. :o(
So today I decided to try my hand at them. This card is created for Stamps & Smiles Sketch Challenge #19. The sketch was created by Mercy Kerin. Thanks Mercy this one was sooo much fun to play with. Ingredients: Stickles, Prisma cs - embossed balls white, Bazzill - green & red cs, Spicas, Martha Stewart picket fence border punch, Copics, Clear gel glitter pen, Stamps & Smiles Stamps

CUTTLEBUG-ERS30!!! - Spreading Joy

Hello Again!
Well, it's Sunday once again, time for my Cuttlebug-ers Challenge assignment at PaperCraftPlanet. I have to say, this challenge is inspired by Jessica's post HERE . Although I didn't follow her one layer rule, I did use my CB to emboss my Nestie. So there you go; the challenge today is to emboss your NESTIE!!! You can emboss as many Nesties as you want and you can layer to your hearts content! Here's my example/sample. Hope you can make out the embossed scalloped square frame in the mustard colored cs. So now you know the deets. Won't you come and play along? We'd love to have you!!! :o)

SC232 - Love Ewe

Hello Again:

Just playing catch up here. I was behind on these sketch challenges and I think I have caught up now.

Here's my card for SC232 over at SplitCoastStampers. I used the D'Vine Swirls folder in my Cuttlebug. Then I smudged it with Fresco Chalk Finish Dye Ink in Medici Marble. Then I took clear embossing powder and sprinkled it all over. I took the heat gun and heated the ep. I like the way it turned out. Don't be surprised if you see me use this technique again sometime.

MOJO MONDAY #90 - Happy Brithday Brother

Hello!
This is a late night/early morning post. I created this card for Julee's MoJo Monday sketch challenge #90. I was in dire need of a masculine card for my bil's birthday in late July. I had this image I'd received in a swap and you can't get more masculine than this! It was looking like it was missing something so I added the faux stitching with Daisy ds roll on rubons. It stuck in some places and not in others. Phewy. But for the most part this is a nice card. If I could remove the faux stitching I would but it doesn't want to come off. Foot print pp is from DCWV The Pets Stack. The embossed copper paper is from K & Co. I colored my image with Copics and the eyes with gold Spicas. Then I dotted a little white for highlights to the eyes.

1st Annual 2 Sketches 4 You Ultimate Card Showdown

Welcome!
This is my entry in the 1st Annual 2 Sketches 4 You Ultimate Card Showdown WEEK #1. I used THE SWEET STACKS from DCWV. I love these stacks of pp! They really work well for layering and adding lots of elements to your creations. I added pink rick rack and a piece of an elastic white ribbon wrapped loosely with a piece of narrow red satin ribbon. Then I made a bow with the red satin ribbon and some beaded trim. I can't remember where I bought the sentiment from but it is "Que Sera Sera what will be will be". I was and still am a huge Doris Day fan! :o)
My floral image is from Imaginisce. It's stamped in Stampabilities Brown ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. The hat pin, is something I've been hoarding for a L O N G time. I just loved it. It was in a bag of jewerly pieces my sister gave me last year. I think it adds the 'perfect touch' to this card.
Here's a close-up of the hat pin, sentiment and floral piece. My floral piece was colored using Coipics, Spicas and clear gel glitter pens.

MOJO MONDAY & The Greeting Farm Black & White Sketch Challenge - Love is...

Howdy!
Well, I thought my MOJO had left the building until I went and got inspired by sweet, talented Cindy Haffner. She created the cutest little fireman card for The Greeting Farm black & white challenge sketch. I just knew I had to try that. I love black and white cards! So I used Julee's MOJO Monday sketch and combined it with The Greeting Farm sketch and voila! This is a stamped image I received in a swap from my dear friend Trish Davey. Also the pieces of cardstock which make up my background were Cuttlebug-ed by Trish as well. I used Spica in black to color the little raised birds. My dress is colored in with my clear glitter gel pen. I didn't have any black ribbon so I used my black Copic marker and dragged it over the white satin ribbon. The sentiment says: That Love is all there is, is all we know of Love. Emily Dickenson

KBstampsCC1 - Happy Birthday

Hello:
She left a comment on one of my cards and invited me to play along for a chance to win some blog candy...

Well, if you know me, I can't turn down a chance to win FREE stuff! So I wandered over to Katie Brooks' blog and read all about it. Then I got busy creating the card you see below.
It's the "Call me mellow yellow color challenge". I used pp from The Whimsy Stack from DCWV. I cut all the pieces out and placed them and popped some up. I added the Martha Stewart picket fence border. I used a Spica in navy to dot my butterfly's trail. The Happy Birthday is a rub-on. The metal bracket is from We R Memory Keepers.

pcpcuttlebug28 - Smile

Hi there!
Here's the challenge I posed for this week.

Use your Nesties and embossing folders. First I'd like you to take a piece of cardstock or patterned paper and use the largest Nestie in a set that you LOVE and offset the patterned paper or cardstock so that when you cut in your Cuttlebug you leave a hinge. Now this next step is your option; use either the negative or the positive piece in your creation. But either way, run it through your Cuttlebug using your FAV embossing folder. Now use that piece in your card, scrapbook page or altered item. Easy Peasy...
Or so I thought! It turned out to be quite the challenge for me! But here's what I finally came up with for my sample.

I used the diamonds and dots folder and one of the tag Nesties for my project. I am quite pleased with the way it turned out. Hope you'll join us over at PaperCraftPlanet Cuttlebug-ers for Challenge #28.
