Today I am featuring a card I created using the NEW kit I am offering.

This one is simple as pie! Stampin' Up! Products used:
CS -- Marina Mist, Very Vanilla, Whisper White
Stamps - Tea Shopper (in kit)
Ink - Island Indigo, Versa Mark
EP - white
EF - Elegant Bouquet
Ribbon - Baja Breeze Pleated Ribbon (in kit)
Buttons - Twitterpated two blue and one pink (in kit)
Charm - Trinket Hearts -- love (in kit)
Twine - white

My card is 4.125" w x 5.5" h. The Very Vanilla cardstock was cut at 4"w x 5.125" h and run through my Big Shot using the Elegant Bouquet embossing folder. Then using a dauber I rubbed the Island Indigo ink over the raised areas. Cut a piece of the pleated Baja Breeze ribbon at 5" and taped it around back of the Very Vanilla cs.

The tea cup was stamped in Versa Mark and heat embossed with white embossing powder. Then I used the dauber again and rubbed the ink around over whiping excess ink off. Then I craft cut the tea cup out. I attched the tea cup with Dimensionals foam adhesives. The I tied the little "love" charm on the handle with white twine. Tied some little bows of white twine in my buttons and attached them with glue dots.

This card was completed in about 25 minutes. Easy Peasy Lemon Squeazy.

It's another MOJO MONDAY Challenge #226. My friend Deb and I went over to our other friend Ann's house today to do a Stampin' Up! card class. When we got back to my house, Deb and I started playing with a decorative paper pack she had purchased recently. I loved all the greens and a couple of the papers were nothing but glittery butterflies. YIPPEE! So with a few products from Stampin' Up! I was able to throw together this design. For the embossing and die cutting I chose the NEW Textured Impressions Embossing Folders - Adorning Accents and the Edgelits Dies Adorning Accents. I've used Stampin' Up! cardstock too! The craft cut two matching butterflies and with Crystal Effects I adhered one body to the other. Then I folded up the wings to make it look like it just landed. I added Crystal Effects to the wings too add a little dimension. The sentiment is 2 stamps from the Loving Thoughts set. I punched two little hearts and tied some yellow and white dotted organza ribbon into the hole of my tag and called it done.

Here's my entry for the Christmas Card Challenge Week #9 to used your FAVORITE TECHNIQUE and for Sugar Creek Hollow Challenge of Cream, Blue and Brown. For my technique I chose embossing: heat as I hope you can see on the fir tree. I also embossed the die cut but it is a little difficult to see in the photos. As the Christmas Card Challenge says "WINTER or CHRISTMAS" themed I chose to give my card the snowy look by adding Stampin' Up! Frost White Shimmer Paint which I think shows up a little better in the photo below.

Sugar Creek Hollow asked us to use Cream, Blue and Brown on our creations so... I used Very Vanilla, Chocolate Chip, Pool Party and Island Indigo card stock. I stamped my Lovely As A Tree stamps in Marina Mist (bakground trees), Pear Pizzaz and Island Indigo on the large fir tree in the foreground. Added some double sided satin ribbon. A trio of the Twitterpated Designer Buttons with Early Espresso twine at the bottom left hand corner.

Inspiration for CR84FN #47 -- lt. pink, red, lt. blue.

My take on the challenge. I modeled the die cuts after the edge of the cake plate and pie edging. The ribbons on the hat pin example the ribbons ob the swing. The flower is for the bouquet.The beads, pearl and rhinestones pay homage to the brides jewelry.

Hope you will try out the color combo and if you do, don't forget to enter it into the challenge.

LAYERS! So I used some different coordinating pattern papers and layers them. I added some lace, a stamped flower I cut into a butterfly and embellished with pearls, some ribbon and a copper tag that reads hope and love.

I used the Creative Elements stamp set to create this entry for the Freshly Made Sketches challenge #18. My butterfly was stamped with Pool Party ink. The flourish branch was stamped using Pear Pizzaz ink. The sentiment was stamped in Early Espresso ink. Other elements of my card were created using the NEW Framelits and the Lace Ribbon Border Punch. A few pearls and some twine and it's complete.

Twitterpated - this card was created for the CardPatterns Challenge #149. What a F-U-N sketch!
For my card I used NEW Framelits - LABELS Collection dies from the largest to the mid sized die. I stamped my flowers with Mixed Bunch and cut them with the coordinating Punch Blossom Punch. The flowers were all stamped in Cherry Cobbler. The sentiment is from Whimsical Words set. The cardstock is Blushing Bride and Pear Pizzaz. Both layers of the dsp are from Stampin' Up! Twitterpated collection (LOVE IT!). The Baja Breeze Pleated Ribbons is NEW from Stampin' Up! and the Rose Red Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon is also a SU product. The HAT PINs are new to SU as well. I added the beads myself.

This card was created using the new Stampin' Up! stamp set Take it to Heart. It was inspired by THIS card by Maureen Merritt. When I saw MamaMo's card I just had to give it a try with my NEW stamps.
The is technique is called resist embossing. I so enjoy trying new techniques or even an old one now and then with a little different result.

All inks, stamps, cs, charms, twine and embossing powder are Stampin' Up! products.

Makeover Monday Challenge #10 with Paper Crafter's Library was to be inspired by the card on the right from Jessica Witty.

I don't think I fell too far off the mark with my Blushing Bride/Basic Black card. This card was created using the New Stampin' Up! set Take it to Heart which can be found in the NEW Occasions Mini Catalog (pg. 14).The image was stamped in Versa Mark and heat embossed using black ep. I Also used the NEW HEARTS FRAMELITS which can also be found in the mini (pg. 6). My sentiment was created using one the Modern Label Punch and the Modern Label stamp from the Tea Shoppe set (pg. 19 in the mini)which is in the KIT I am offering. The small buttons are the Twitterpated buttons (pg.12) which are also in the KIT!

Love One Another ---

This is the inspiration for CR84FN46 - Lt. Pink, Yellow and Neutral.

Below is my card. I chose to make a wedding card for a friend of ours who got married in Thailand in December 2011. I was waiting until after they returned from their honeymoon to ask what they needed/wanted as their wedding gift. This is what the groom, our friend, said to me, "We are abundantly blessed. We only need a beautiful card." Isn't that just the sweetest thing?! So here I am presenting you with Sanon & Veena's wedding card. I was presented, from my mom, a bag full of beautiful laces in yellow, pinks, light blue, and ecru. So what I used on my card is the lt. pink, lt. blue, pale yellow and some of the green satin ribbon that was also in the bag. I embossed the pink panel cardstock. Added some flower rhinestones and some glittery leaves.
I added a little loopy string of pearls to the flower.

My sentmient was a little diffcult to read in the above picture so here it is again. It says, "Love one another."

I'm really proud of this photo as for about two years I ahve been trying to take closeups with my camera and had so many failures I had given up. I think I whipped it this time. I actually had some great lighting (one of my Christmas pressies from the hubs) and used the timer on the camera.

I stamped the Eiffel Tower in Staz-On onto the real red cardstock. Then I die cut the heart from the confetti white cs. I punched the little hearts from a piece of scrap cs and then used the scrap for a stencil to stencil hearts in Melon Mambo, Real Red and Cherry Cobbler ink. The harder I pressed the dauber the darker the heart. The sentiment was stamped in Versa Mark on real red and heat embossed with white embossing powder.

MOJO MONDAY == I really enjoyed playing with this sketch. I found these really fun dsps in my stach and decided to play around with the patterns and add some flowers made with the same dsps. I stamped my image and sentiment in Versa Mark then heat embossed in white. I added the branch by drawing a curvy line with my white Signo Gel pen. I love how the little eyes and smile are peeking out from under the pinked border. :O)

Sugar Creek Hollow

This is my first time playing along with Sugar Creek Hollow. I have never had much success at making it vintage. So when I saw the challenge this week was to

RE-PURPOSE PAPER TOWELS, TOILET PAPER OR COFFEE FILTERS, instead of buying some designer paper for your project to transform it and incorporate it into your vintage, shabby chic or primitive card or other paper-crafted project.
For my vintage Christmas card I used a vintage looking paper napkin. I stained it with tea stain, added a piece of tea stained lacey ribbon, a couple of flowers I added some tea stain ink to as my embellishments. I stamped my sentiment from Stampin' Up! Christmas Classics stamp set and rubbed more tea stain ink into it, attached an anitque looking brad and called it all done! Hope you like it. I don't know how "vintage" it is in your eyes but I am pleased with the results.

CASE Study#71 - Love the creations of Amy Sheffer. How wonderful that she is the inspiration this week at CASE Study. I used Stampin' Up! papers and cardstock. I stenciled a swirl pattern on my dsp with Cherry Cobbler ink. I made my little rosette by hand stitching a running stitch along one edge of my ribbon and adding a Stampin' Up! Button Brad.All inks are Stampin' Up!

Hello Again:

This will be our last challenge for 2011. The next challenge will not be posted until January 8, 2012. I felt this would give us all a little family time and most of us won't be crafting during the holidays anyway. I will try to get some cards made just to keep my MoJo flowing but probably not participating in challenges and the like until after the 8th anyway.

Now for you challenge should you choose to take it.

Use your dies and make it festive!

I used the 5 point star die from Stampin' Up! to make my star, but instead of only 5 points I gave mine 10! I also border punched and pinch pleated the little centers. Everything is glued together with Tombow adhesives. I would think hot glue would do a decent job here too and less drying time. I'd like to take this opportunity to thank all of you who've commented and/or played along. You've made it all worth while for me and I appreciate it more than you could possibly know. Inspirational Card Sketches #144

This is a flap card. The Island Indigo cs is cut 4.25" x 11". You fold the top flap at 1.75". Then fold again at 7.25". To keep the card closed I tied a piece of ribbon under the butterfly image. You can barely see it in the first photo. All dsp and cardstock are from Stampin' Up! Some of the dsp are retired. But I wanted to make something a little different this week, since for the past month and a half I've been working on Christmas cards.

Betty's Baked Tortellini

Betty's Baked Tortellini

1 pkg. Hillshire farms smoked sausage
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 32 oz. box chicken broth
1 can fire roasted tomatoes
1 lg. package tortellini or 2 smaller packs (1 cheese, 1 Italian sausage)
1 lg. bag of cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)

I usually cook the sauce separate for about 15-30 minutes.
Then in a casserole dish I layer meat in sauce, tortellini, cheese; repeat the process until all ingredients are in the dish. Final layer should always be cheese. It works just as well in a 9 x 13 baking pan as it does in a round baking dish.
Bake 350 covered for 30 minutes. Then remove the lid and turn the temp. to 375 and bake until the cheese is golden brown.

Tiger Bark Recipe

Tiger Bark - easy candy recipe

24 oz. almond bark

1 cup smooth peanut butter

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

1. Melt the almond bark and peanut butter in separate bowls, then stir together until creamy. Pour onto a foil-lined cookie sheet.

2. Melt the choc. chips and drizzle this onto the cookie sheet mixture. Take a knife (finger?) and swirl the chocolate around.

3. Refrigerate until hardened.

4. Break the candy into pieces.

I do all the melting in a microwave.

Enjoy!!!!

All things Stampin' Up! The stamps are from Jolly Old Saint Nick. The dsp is from Frostwood Lodge and the herringbone dsp is also Stampin' Up! but it is retired. Card stock is Lucky Limeade, Cherry Cobbler and Real Red. I used my snow pen to make Santa a little more festive and I place a tiny crystal in his right eye for a "twinkle". The Red Glitter paper was cut using the Lace Ribbon Border Punch. Sentiment and Santa were both stamped in Versa Mark and heat embossed with White embossing powder. TFL

Just trying to "tie up" loose ends and finish up my Christmas cards. Here's a beauty made with some of the same decorative papers as the previous post. I added some distress ink and Signo gel (white) to spruce up my holly and berries. Haven't picked a sentiment yet but it will be simple I assure you.

As the days to Christmas dwindle, I find myself behind on my Christmas cards. Yes I played along with tons of challenges over the year but still, still I am behind. So today I just wanted to do something relaxing and on the simpler side. What I came up with is the card you see above. Although the Delightful Decorations stamp is beautiful in and of itself, I had to add some BLING. The dsp and silver twine are both scraps from my stash. The sentiment is from Stampin' Up! Merry & Type stamp set.
The glitter paper is also Stampin' Up!

Let it Snow! PCP - CUTTLEBUG-ERS130

I used Whisper White cs and stamped a few snowflakes then I ran it through my Big Shot with the Northern Flurries embossing folder. Then I punched some snwoflakes using my punch stacked them three high and spritzed the entire thing with Frost White Shimmer Mist. I matted it on some soft blue glitter cs.

In the top photo you can see the shimmer mist on the Whisper White cs. It's on the snowflakes too. I added some rhinestones, a sentiment and some white satin ribbon.

So that's it! The challenge this week at on my Cuttlebugers Group at PaperCraftPlanet is LET IT SNOW! anyway, anyhow, anything that says SNOW!

The "TWIST" was to use a number. So on the at the bottom I stamped a 25 cent postage stamp. On the card at the top I used 3 snowflakes. I think that may be a liberty but the twist does say "any number, any how."

This one presented a bit of a problem for me. I don't have a die that will cut a half circle. So I had to trace a ribbon spool and then cut my half circle. But I am very pleased with the way it turned out. I love the dsp and the color combo is very Christmas-y.

Random Acts of Creativity: Sketchbook Saturday Sketch #39 - The focal image is Stampin' Up! Ornate Blossom. It was stamped twice with Cherry Cobbler ink. Then I craft cut them out. I added stickles to the outer pieces and Crystal Effects to the main portion including the cut pieces.

Twisted Cards Design Team Call

December will see the end of the term for the awesome girls on the Twisted Sketches Card team and some of them are moving on to other wonderful adventures. This means that now ANAM is looking for 8 to 10 new design team members for Twisted Cards on a week on/week off basis - this means you only have to do 2 sketches a month.

You must only produce Cards with the sketch.
You can have a none, a little or a lot of Design Team experience
A blog of your own would be preferred but some online forum activity is a must.
You can live anywhere in the world as you just email me a photo or scan of your artwork.
Male or Female, Young or Old, once you have a sense of humour that's what matters.

What ANAM needs from you on the team:
1. an interpretation of the sketch I will provide.
2. artwork provided to me in a timely manner.
3. promotion of this blog on your own blog, forums etc so you can share the inspiration.
4. a good sense of humour.
5. a 6 month commitment with an option to extend.
What I will provide to the team:
1. a sketch every 2 weeks, with plenty of time to get it done.
2. a place for you to show off and experiment while inspiring others.

Crazy 4 Challenges -- Birdy

Not my best photo. I have found that lately, when I try to snap my photos I tend to shake the camera. So I have started trying to place my card and my camera on the same surface. It steadies the camera, however the pictures are not that great. So back tot he drawing board.

That said, this card is entered into Crazy4Challenges #114 - black and white and one other color. Mine is black white and red. I've had this little stamp for ages. Every time I stamp it I find a love it even more. I've stamped it on colored cardstock and embossed with silver, gold and white. Never unhappy with the results. Today was no exception -- I stamped with Versa Mark and heat embossed with Sparkling Black embossing powder. Then I used my Cherry Cobbler marker and colored just the bird. What you can not see it is the wing is glittery red cs as are the corners. Thanks for looking.

It doesn't get much more F-U-N thank this!!!

Here is a Santa I created using Vimar Serrano's "SCHWEET" tutorial. I had to tweek it a little as I didn't have the Snowburst Embossing folder and I used a box pattern I had on hand and traced it to make my box base. I used Real Red cs instead of Riding Hood Red. I also used the Red Glitter paper for my holly berries. On my pompom I used the Northern Flurry embossing folder.

Britni has improved enough to be moved to physical therapy re-hab!!!! Although she is still not allowed to stand or walk on her legs she is doing all she can to keep improving and getting better. Here's another GET WELL WISH for Brit! Love that girl.

Lily Pad - Kathy's Lily Pad Palette

Lily Pad - this week Kathy's color palette consists of blue, yellow and red. Or in my case Island Indigo, More Mustard, and Cherry Cobbler. I used Real Red cs and stamped the Medallion in Versa Mark ink then embossed with Clear Embossing Powder. I punched Boho Blossoms and layered them, added a Filigree Designer Brad and a few rhinestones. The sentiment is from the Peaceful Season stamp set. I punched two Decorative Labels in More Mustard and backed the Whisper White.

CR84FN - Blueberry Cobbler

My Goddaughter, Britni is still in hospital. She had her second and third surgeries on Monday, Oct. 24th. Her knee was so badly damaged; torn ligaments, cartilages and the muscle was detached and not in it's normal and correct position. Poor girl endured 8 1/2 hours of surgeries. Then yesterday, she was diagnosed with pneumonia. If you have it in your heart to pray for Britni please do so. This young woman is only 18 years old. Pray for her Poppa too as he is very heartsick at seeing his little girl in this state. Thank You.

As you may have guessed, this is a get well card for Britni.

Just Punchin' Paper

This was a really fun card to make. I just punched 1 3/8 inch circles and laid them side by side in layers from bottom to top. My card uses 25 circles. The top portion of my card is a dsp cut and edged in a scallop with a die. The sentiment is from Stampin' Up! Swirls & Curls Verses set. The ribbon is SU Baha Breeze.

Get Well Soon Britni

This past week my God duaghter, Britni was in an automobile accident. She rolled her Ford Explorer 5 times. She broke both of her legs and has fluid around her lungs. On Monday, Oct. 17 they did surgery on her legs. In one leg, the bone was crushed so they had to put a metal plate in with 6 screws. Britni is only 18 years old. She's been in my prayers constantly and I wanted to make a special card just for her (her favorite color is PINK). I'm sharing Britni's card with you.

Let's get Twisted! Today I love the sketch Anam provided the dt with this time. It's CAS and I could dress it up any way I like. So I die cut the heart and then stitched around the edges. Added a bedazzled snowflake and a stamped sentiment along with a few buttons and called this one a wrap. I hope you will join us this week for the challenge. I think you'll enjoy the sketch and the "TWIST". No I won't give the twist away. You'll have to check it out for yourself at the Twisted Sketches Blog. While your there paruse the other DT members creations. They've cranked out some beauties for this one!

Leaves of a Tree - JFF

The tree is from Stampin' Up! It's item # 123846 and can be purchased HERE. The sentiment is from Day of Gratitude which is item #120835 and can be purchased HERE. If you buy both sets from me at the same time I'll give you $2.00 off.

To make my card I brayered the background. Then I stamped the tree in pumpkin pie ink. Then with my markers: More Mustard, River Rock, Crumb Cake, Calypso Coral, and Cajun Craze I colored the various leaves. The tree trunk was colored in using Early Espresso. Then I highlighted with the Signo Gel Pen.

I then punched 2 bats and folded them in half to make my hinges. Sponged some Always Artichoke around the edges, matted with black on Pumpkin Pie cs. Called it done!

JFF - CASE-ing

The first card I CASE-D was from Beate's Fresh & Fun --

October 13, 2011 Masculine leaves. However for my card I chose to go with a Christmas holly instead of fall leaves. I used the Stampin' Up! set Peaceful Season to create my card. The embossing folder used is SU Petals A Plenty. Inks used are SU Cherry Cobbler, Always Artichoke and Lucky Limeade. My brad is a corduroy button brad from SU.
How'd I do Beate?

The second card I CASE-D was drawn from the Nov/Dec 2011 issue of PaperCraftsMagazine pg. 34.

Top Tip Tuesday #54 - Use the sketch.
My "TIP" --- When using a die and wanting a layered effect on the piece you are cutting, it is smarter to layer first adhering the layers before you try to cut. As you can see with my card, I did not cut my layers first. So there was some shifting of the dsp and cs. TFL

Remember that little rhyme?

Well, your trickster will be moon over stars for one of these little gifties. These were created using the Stampin' Up! Petal Cone Die. I cut equal pieces in orange and black and put them together to make these Halloween candy holders. Since his first year of school (pre-k till now 2nd grade) I have been making gifts for him and his classmates for holidays. This time I chose the Petal Cone Die to make the little gift boxes. There's various stickers my hubs picked up for me from one of my local craft shops. The little scalloped pieces (part of the die), I chose to make the focal point. The orange and black banners are also a part of the die and I wrote "Happy Holloween from Zackary" on each one. The kiddoes are going to LOVE these!
