I have created so many Christmas/Winter Holiday cards that I am ready for a change. Now I STILL want to be creating so I've moved on to 2010 holidays. My card today is for the challenge over at Stamps And Smiles' blog Project Tuesday challenge. The challenge this week was to make a side step card. Now this is a FIRST for me! I used my Nesties hearts for this creation. I am hoping to get to use them a little more for this coming Valentine's. I also have various heart shaped punches. I used them as well as some white mulberry paper with little red hearts in it.
Now if you need a break from Christmas cards or just want to try a new technique give this little side step card a try. It's not really hard at all and it's quite fun to make!
On another note...
MUGS! This summer I purchased a used dining set. I LOVE IT! So finally I get to decorate my dining table!!! I have been holding on to a few items for years. But last night, while out looking at Christmas lights I asked my hibs to stop in at CVS pharmacy so we could look for some table decorations. We found these adorable latte/hot cocoa mugs at 2/$300. Now that's my kind of deal! You might notice there are only 7. Well, we had 8 but when I was putting them in the dishwasher for a little scrub, I notice the handle of one was cracked and chipped. So hubs, the wonderful man he is, is going to exchange it on his way home tonight. Now I am not a matchy-matchy person but we could not find (after visiting 3 different CVS pharmacies) all the same or 8 different designs. So I settled for 2 red snowflakes, 2 Tis da Season, and the rest are all different!
So what do you think???
