Sweet Macie is the daughter of Lor's husband's cousin Glenna and her husband John Steele.
They are fighting hard, along side of Macie, for Macie and all the other children who have been diagnosed with GLUT1 and for those who are yet to be diagnosed.
They have marched in Washington, they have attended Epilepsy Walks and even had the chance for Macie to represent more than 30,000 children in the US with epilepsy as the Epilepsy Foundation of Kentuckiana's Kids Speak Up! representative in Washington, D.C. The Article below is in the 2010 Issue 1 of of The Illuminator (a publication of the Epilepsy Foundation of Kentuckiana): READ ALL ABOUT IT!
Lori's 13 year old daughter, Hannah will be volunteering at the conference as there is plenty of need there when it comes to physical help. Hannah also wants to give financially and asked Lori to design a Macie Digi. She did and here she is:
