Happy Father's Day - Twisted Sketches

Here's the sketch the A - Team at Twisted Sketches Twisted Cards were assigned this week and the "twist" is wood. I took a little artistic license with this one and I just wanted to share my creation with all of you.

My card utilizes a lot of wood veneere. I ran a 4 x 5.25" piece of wood veneere through my Big Shot with the Framed Tulips ef #121809. Then I spritzed it with some of the Champagne Mist Shimmer Mist and some Marina reinker mixed with alcohol. Then I used a die and cut the image panel and stamped with Sail Away stamp. Then I colored the image with my Watercolor Wonder Crayons and my blender pen. When it was dry I added Crystal Effects to the water and sails. Stamped the sentiment, added the looped ribbon and a fancy brad and matted it all on some tempting turquoise cs and called it a day.
