BOKEH

BOKEH

It's a new technique for me.  Below is the card I made with my Bokeh piece.
In photography, bokeh (Originally /ˈboʊkɛ/, /ˈboʊkeɪ/ BOH-kay — also sometimes pronounced as /ˈboʊkə/ BOH-kə, Japanese: [boke]) is the aesthetic quality of the blur produced in the out-of-focus parts of an image produced by a lens. Bokeh has been defined as "the way the lens renders out-of-focus points of light"

I started my project by cutting watercolor paper to 4.25" x 5.5". Then using my Aqua painter I saturated the paper. Then using an acrylic block I dropped 3 drops of Re-inker inks in Calypso ?Coral, Poopl Party and Wisteria Wonder onto the block. Then I simply dipped the tip of my aqua painter into a color. Then moving over to my paper, I gently squeezed some ink onto the wet paper. Cleaned the brush and chief another color then repeated this process until the paper was completely covered with color.

When the piece was completely dry;
Here's where the light effect comes in. I used a circle stencil and daubed white in various circles, overlapping a few.
I trimmed it to desired size, stamped my sentiment and added pearls.
Then I stamped the inside.
All done!

If you are interested in the Bokeh technique, go to YouTube and search Bokeh Sharon Armstrong. I watched several different videos. But Sharon's explanation and demo worked best for me.
