Snowbody

Hi there! Welcome back!

Last week I featured a group of cards I had created while I was trying to rest up my knee. Today I wanted to talk to you about how I created this card. I think it turned out so stinkin' cute!

These are all Stampin' Up! products and are all available in the current catty.

Stamps : Snow Much Fun (W) 122560 , (C) 122562
Cardstock : Very Vanilla
Ink Pads : Basic Black
Markers : Bashful Blue, Real Red, Only Orange, Basic Black
Signo : White Gel Pen, Red Signo Gel Pen (NOT STAMPIN' UP!)
Twine : Island Indigo, Early Espresso, Cherry Cobbler
DSP: Festival of Prints Paper Stack 126904
Framelits : Apothecary Accents Framelits 127003
Extras : Stampin' Paper-Piercing Pack 126187, Modern Label Punch 119849

I stamped my image on a piece of Very Vanilla cs ( cut 6" x 3 1/2"). Then I cut a small piece of the light blue dsp (2" x 3 1/2") and adhered it to the bottom portion of my very Vanilla cs. Then I took that piece and placed it in the Framelits die and ran it through the Big Shot, cutting the pieces together. Then I used the piercing pack and pierced from the point just to the lower scallop on both sides and each end. I cut one 6" each, Island Indigo, Cherry Cobbler and Early Espresso baker's twine. Gather the lengths together and wrapped them around my piece then tied a half knot on the left side. Then on a piece of the light blue dsp I stamped the sentiment in Basic Black and punched with the Modern Label Punch. Then cut another fromt he same paper and flipped it over to matte my label.

I mounted my image onto a piece of 6" x 3 1/2" Island Indigo cs. Under that I placed a piece of the dsp from the Festival of Prints paper stack.

When I was done I went back and added some little blue dots for the snow effect - Bashful Blue marker.

Hope you enjoyed my little tutorial.
I'd love to hear your comments. If you are interested in purchasing any of the products used in creating this card, please add your contact info. in your comment or go straight to my ONLINE STORE.

MIA

Hi There!

Sorry I've been MIA for a while. Honestly, I've been nursing my knee. Trying to stay off of it as much as possible. Which meant sitting in my recliner, reclined with my laptop. No cardmaking...  :O(

But as I started to feel better I was longing to get in my craft room and create. So little by little I began to make enough progress to be able to sit for a while at my craft table without pain. So below is what I managed to accomplish between Thursday September 20th through Monday September 24th.

I was up late sometimes till midnight creating. But when I felt good I tried to get as much created as possible. All my cards were created using Stampin' Up! products from stamps and inks to cs and dsp.

Thanks for looking.

10 Mintue Craft Dash

10 Minute Craft Dash #2 -- I just found this challenge blog so I missed challenge #1.

CraftDash

But this time the challenge is to use pool party, island indigo and gumball green. I love these colors together. They really come and play well together. Betsy's Blossoms is a terrific stamp set to show case this combo. Once I got my stamps and papers together, my card was complete is 8 minutes 43 seconds! Love the card!

Thansk for the challenge!!!

iSpy32

iSpy sketches challenges #32. These types of sketches always give me troubles. Usually I can never get my elements square and lined up. But this time I used a punch which helped with the shape being uniform. But my lining up is still off. Anyhoo, I got exactly what I was going for by using multiple stamps and stamp sets from Stampin' Up!

Here's the sketch. Why don't you try it out? Nobody says those little squares "HAVE" to be square. You could use any shape or you could stamp directly onto the cardstock. The sky's the limit!
Whatever you do, have fun!

CTD207

COLOR THROWDOWN#207 - Melon Mambo, Barely Banana, Peach Parfait, Gable Green.
I don't own all of those exact colors so I fudged a little But I did try really hard to match when I could. I've used Stampin' Up! new set Wonderfall #128087 (C). I just really love the different leaves and the patterns on each one. I stamped some of the other leaves and placed them behind my lattice. Sorry I didn't get a shot of them before I adhered it all together. This lattice is a bit of a pain but so worth the trouble! At least I think so. :O)

Great colors. Check out the Color Throwdown this week. I think you'll like it!
