Recently while feeding my Pinterest addiction I stumbled across Crafty Card Creations. Ru Lochlea is a very talented person. The 3D gems they create are stunning little shadow boxes if you will. Open ended. I fell in love with the designs and style of it all. I had to give it a go on my own.
But I give all the inspiration credit to Crafty Card Creations.

The first one the light was placed over the top.
The one below has the light behind.
To create my version I cut a piece of 8.5" x 11" cardstock down to 11" x 5.5".
Then using the Top Note die I cut the window. I used a Christmas Tree punch and punched out 3 trees. Then I cut 3 pieces of cardstock in hills and valleys to make my snow. I punched a star and a snowflake from Stampin' Up! punches. I scored my box at 1/2", 1", 5", 5 1/2", 6", 10" and 10 1/2". Fold all the score lines to make your open ended box with the window in the…
What a cute sketch from the Crazies!!! And Freshly Made challenges us to use frames. So I used my Unity Stamp Co SOTW which already had it's own little stitched frame and I added some SU shimmer paper for a little pizzazz!
The first three cards are Christmas cards. I was just playing in my crafty room. Love them all!!!

This card is for a pair of the cutest twins ever to come into this world. Doesn't hurt that they are my oldest and dearest friend's great nieces either. Congratulations again Tai & JR.
