Muse Challenge #116

The sample card inspired me by the colors and the layout. I chose to sprinkle Brusho onto my cs and spritz with water to get the multiple colors.I found that if I sprinkled the yellow then the leaf green and finally the turquoise I got a similar gradation in color as the Muse sample. I felt the chalkboard cs would be a close representation of the circle element on the Muse sample.
I have been experimenting a lot lately with Brushos, Bistre and Irredescent Creative Mediums. I love the surprises I've had with each element. Today is the first time I have used the Brushos and Creative Medium together. I am pretty content with the turn out. Oh and lets not forget those cardboard stencils from Faber Castell!

Happy as a bird

Today I'll be as happy as a bird with a french fry. Unity SOTW.
This card was created for the Tuesday Morning Challenge. I started off the a piece of watercolor paper. Then I spritzed it with Tim Holtz Distress Spray Stain in Peacock Feathers. I got a little heavy handed, but once it was dry I loved the effect. I then wrapped a piece of yellow and clear dotted washi tape around one end. Then cut and placed a piece of pink satin ribbon over that. Then I stamped my Unity stamp on whisper white cs. I colored with my Prisma watercolor pencils. I die cut using SU! Framelits dies. Added a little fuzzy ball and bead charm and stamped the sentiment. Matted that onto a piece of Chartreuse cs. Called this one down!

I really enjoy making these accordian folded cards. I used a mixture of stamps and embossing folders on this creation.

3 Christmases and 2 Babies

 The first three cards are Christmas cards. I was just playing in my crafty room. Love them all!!!

This card is for a pair of the cutest twins ever to come into this world. Doesn't hurt that they are my oldest and dearest friend's great nieces either. Congratulations again Tai & JR.

The giraffe stamp is from Whimsy Stamps and the DSP is from Close to my Heart.

Bewitched

That's who she reminds me of. Or even Nicole Kidman playing at Bewitched. So if you look at the two images below you will see a big difference!

When I started my intention was for the background image to stay clear (no coloring). So that's what I did. Then some color seeped into her stockings and the pumpkin. Oh and her broom! Then I just walked away.

That was yesterday. So today, I keep looking and I am not altogether thrilled at how she looks. Sooo, I ended up with this.

NOTE: If you are wondering about the paper she is stamped on, it's a piece of my Gelli Art Print. I just stamped the image on and cut around. Then colored with Copics.

I'm still not sure which one I like better. You be the judge.

Unity Stamp of the Week

Here's my card featuring the Unity Stamp Of The Week. Isn't it just the prettiest of fall images?!

I loved it as FALL is my favorite season!!!It's colored with Copics and Spectrum Noir markers.

The green doily... SU white paper doily, inked with H20 inks. While still fairly wet I added clear embossing powder and heated. I LOVE IT!!!!

Dynamic Duos Challenge #50 - Calypso Coral and Blushing Bride.

For my card I used a Spellbinders Embossibilities folder. Inked up the inside with Calypso Coral. Then ran it through my Cuttlebug. The butterfly and sentiment are from Unity Stamps SOTW club - Real Happiness Shared. I added some Ranger pearls and some buttons from SU and Mossy Made.

Great color combo for those pastel lovers.
