Stampin' Up! Botanical Builder Framelits

Ever since I laid my eyes on this set of framelits from Stampin' Up! I can't get enough of them!!!
Below are just a few of the cards I have made with this set.
The first card is for a friend's baby girl. I stuck with the pale pinks and a sort of peach with an accent of pistachio green. The card has since arrived at its destination and Mommy just loved it!

The card below I just made for fun. But it just goes to show you can do sooo much with this set.

Like monochromatic???
Then give this a try!!!

Add that little pleated curtain effect to the die cut pieces and watch the magic happen!!!

Monochromatic

Monochromatic Mauve shimmer cs. This card is really fun to make. The dies are from Stampin' Up! Botanical Builder Framelits. To start you will need one sheet of 12 x 12 cs. Cut at 4.25" x 11". Score at 5 1/2" and fold. Set aside. Use the remaining cs to die cut 2 of each of the flowers and 2 of the frilly frond. Make your flowers. I adhered with dimensionals. Then I added the pearls from Stampin' Up! This would make a lovely Mother's Day card or even a sympathy card. You can choose any color cs to make this monochromatic card.

JFF

Hi There!

Well, I had a few evenings to play this week, just by my lonesome.
So I perused Pinterest to get some ideas and I came up with these cards.

This one was for my monochromatic board on Pinterest. This was all done in Stampin' Up! Hunter Green.

This was a sort of challenge proposed to me by my dear friend Debbie Segler

The card above was stamped with Versa Mark, then dusted with Perfect Pearls. Lovely.

This card was stamped using the same stamps and Versa Mark. Only this time I used embossing powder and heat embossed.

So I like both versions. However, if you use Perfect Pearls you need to use some sort of sealer so that when you pick up your card and you stick your thumb on the image you don't come away with half of the powder.
NOTE**** For both of these cards the stamping was done on SU! Vellum.

Green Monochromatic

Found this beauty created by Marion Vagg on Pinterest. So then I created this.

What a beautifully fun, creative and simple technique.
Here's how I did it!
I Stamped the lovely Fancy Flower from Chocolate Baroque in Versa Mark. Heat embossed with white embossing powder. Then using Copic marker #G07 Nile Green I flicked in the areas where I thought it would be darker. Then I stamped the butterfly from SU! set Nature Walk and added the dark green. I matted my image on SU! Whisper White cs. Then I mounted a piece of the same lime green cs to a matte of SU! Whisper White and ran it through my Big Shot inside the Spring Flowers ef from SU! A little bit of ribbon and bling from Making Memories and all that's left is to stamp Happy Birthday inside and this one is D-O-N-E!

Hope you enjoyed this card. I thank Marion Vagg for her inspiration on Pinterest.

Colour Me...!

Colour Me....! #32 - Monochromatic Pistachio Pudding. I have a friend who just loss her mom so this card is for Monica in Louisiana. I hope it brings her some comfort in her time of sorrow.
For the face of my card, I inked up a square acrylic block with Pistachio Pudding ink. Then stamped that down onto Whisper White cs. Then using Basic Gray ink I stamped the largest stamp from SU set Just Believe. With Sympathy is also from SU. The set is Loving Thoughts. I used the Tulip Border EF from SU. SU grosgrain ribbon.
I stamped one of my favorite sentiment inside from Sweet & Sassy Stamps set #1073 His Eye is on the Sparrow.
It reads; "When Jesus is my portion a constant friend is He. His eye is on the sparrow and I know he watched over me." I also stamped the large floral stamp from SU set My Friend.

When I was done I rubbed on some Versa Mark ink then sprinkled on some Stampin' Up! Irredescent Embossing Powder and heat set. I love the shimmer! Thanks for looking.

Here Comes The Sun - EBAC88 Song

Here Comes the Sun - Everybody Art Challenge #88 inspiration is a Song. My song is Here Comes the Sun written by George Harrison and sung by The Beatles. Below are the song lyrics:
Here comes the sun, here comes the sun,

and I say it's all right

Little darling, it's been a long cold lonely winter
Little darling, it feels like years since it's been here
Here comes the sun, here comes the sun
and I say it's all right

Little darling, the smiles returning to the faces
Little darling, it seems like years since it's been here
Here comes the sun, here comes the sun
and I say it's all right

Sun, sun, sun, here it comes...
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes...
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes...
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes...
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes...

Little darling, I feel that ice is slowly melting
Little darling, it seems like years since it's been clear
Here comes the sun, here comes the sun,
and I say it's all right
It's all right
My card was created using Michelle Zindorf's tutorial #319 Monochromatic Reflection.
