Cajun Cabin

Tuesday Morning Sketches #297. Coloring is therapy for me. So Monday when I started stamping and coloring this I had some heavy thoughts on my mind. I finally was able to complete the coloring and making into a card this morning. Hope you like the little scene I have created.

Happy as a bird

Today I'll be as happy as a bird with a french fry. Unity SOTW.
This card was created for the Tuesday Morning Challenge. I started off the a piece of watercolor paper. Then I spritzed it with Tim Holtz Distress Spray Stain in Peacock Feathers. I got a little heavy handed, but once it was dry I loved the effect. I then wrapped a piece of yellow and clear dotted washi tape around one end. Then cut and placed a piece of pink satin ribbon over that. Then I stamped my Unity stamp on whisper white cs. I colored with my Prisma watercolor pencils. I die cut using SU! Framelits dies. Added a little fuzzy ball and bead charm and stamped the sentiment. Matted that onto a piece of Chartreuse cs. Called this one down!

If you like this card layout and would like to try your hand at the sketch, pop on over to Tuesday Morning Challenges and give it a go! Click HERE.

Tuesday Morning Sketches183

Tuesday Morning Sketches Challenge #183 - I found this sketch lent itself very well to a center stair folded card. I am so pleased with the way this one turned out. Be sure to check out the lovely designs from the folks over at Tuesday Morning Sketches.

You make me STEAMY

Tuesday Morning Sketches challenge #180
Unity Stamp of the Week - You make me steamy.

I stamped my image on patterned paper. Stamped the steam part of the stamp on some Real Red cs. Then stamped it again on the maroon cs. Then stamped just the lid portion on some Very Vanilla cs. I paper pieced the entire cup on to Real Red die cut cs.

I added some red gel glitter pen to the little hearts in the steam.

A heart brad some dsp and border punched shimmer cs, Stampin' Up! Gumball Green ribbon and the sentiment and this one is complete. Oh and please don't forget the Ranger Pearls!

Tuesday Morning Sketches #178 _ Anything Goes. Hmmm... a sketch challenge blog with no sketch??? That's right! That's what they decided to do this week at Tuesday Morning Sketches. I'm not complaining, it just makes you wanna go HMMMMM...  :O)

Above is my card. I used a stamp from Stampin' Up! Fabulous Florets along with some sticker flowers I got last Christmas and a Unity stamp for my sentiment. I chose these sticker flowers beacuse they already had some bling going on! I love bling!

I thought it was an interesting effect the way the flowers were semi transparent and you can see the stems and leaves through them.

Lily - If friends were flowers, I'd pick you! TMS50

This is Lily from SoftPencil Designs. Isn't she just, ummm, yummy! :O)
I certainly think so! I used Lily and a sentiment from a RAK to create this double sided stair step card. This was a new type of card design for me and I really enjoyed the creating of it. It came together in about 45 minutes. But I have to confess, Lily was already printed out and waiting for ink.
I used Bazzill and American Crafts cardstock for my card. I also used a bit of Basic Grey dp. The pink pearls are from Zva and the pink flowers were a RAK. Lily was colored using Copics. She's a joy to color as this image took only 7 colors! That includes the shading colors.

THIS CARD WAS CREATED FOR AND ENTERED IN THE TUESDAY MORNING SKETCHES CHALLENGE #50.
Now if you want to make this double sided stair step card Dawn has a terrific video tutorial HERE. And if you simply can't resist LILY, you can purchase her from SoftPencil HERE.
AND if you want to join the challenge at Tuesday Morning Sketches you can go HERE.

BTB - SoftPencil is also SPONSORING this challenge so you could win a nice gift from her!!!
