Freshly Made 234

Today I played with the Freshly Made Sketch Challenge #234. Very CAS. I love coloring with my Prisma Color Pencils so I had a go at the little bird from Stampin' Up! set #141291 Sale-A-Bration Honeycomb Happiness. I really love this little set. There are 3 images and 3 sentiments. I chose "Hang In There" for my sentiment. Just a little fun coloring on this Saturday afternoon.

Below is the sketch.

#NOTE -- to stamp my balloon to look as though my bird was holding it, tucked under his wing, I stamped the bird twice. Once on my card face and once on a piece of printer paper. I cut the bird out of the printer paper and used it as a mask. Then I stamped the balloon in place. Then I did all my coloring. Added a little white gel pen for some highlights.

Fellowship and Play Date EASTER2016

Today I have a bevvy of cards to share with all of you.
While my sweet hubs baked a ham and cooked green beans and potato salad my girlfriends and I got to play. In the first picture below you will see all of the beautiful cards we created.

From left to right back row:
Purple card was made by dry embossing a shimmer sheet and then sanding (by me).

Below card was designed by Lorna it has a tri fold with a triangle design on one edge.

The card with the roses on it was designed by me.

2nd row:

Window with flowers shutter fold card was designed by me.

Another shimmer sheet dry embossed and iced with Staz-On ink designed by me.

The next card with the flowers and sweet butterfly was designed by Lorna.

The next two cards were designed by Deb. Very cute - one the scaredy cat is peeking around the corner. The one with the two ladies has a little mechanism on the back of the image to make the rock.

3rd row: both of these were designed by me.

Cajun Cabin

Tuesday Morning Sketches #297. Coloring is therapy for me. So Monday when I started stamping and coloring this I had some heavy thoughts on my mind. I finally was able to complete the coloring and making into a card this morning. Hope you like the little scene I have created.

Steam Punk

I was just playing around with an image a friend stamped and sent to me. I love coloring. Have loved it since I was a child. Sometimes I still sit with my crayons, color pencils or markers and just color for hours.
I've never done anything Steam Punk before, so this was a first for me. I really enjoyed the coloring process and then the putting together the elements to make the image into a card. Hope you enjoy it too!

At first glance it needs a little more contrast to his top hat.

There now, that's better. I also added some Crystal Affects to the watch and his eyes. Just for a little shimmer.

Finished! Father's Day card for my dad who keeps reminding me he will be 86 in August! LOL
Happy Father's Day to my dad. Do you think I can top this for his birthday???

JFF in a week

Over the past couple of weeks I have had a U.T. Or Bladder infection and haven't felt my mojo working. So the fact that I created anything in that time period is amazing to say the least. Still I managed to crank out these beauties!

#1 My grandson, Zackary participated in a Geography Bee in his elementary school. He WON!!!
The very next day he had to compete in a written Bee for National Geographic! we participated in the bee the next day but we haven't gotten the results yet.

I received some new supplies in the mail last week and this and I did play a little while. Also, my wonderful hubs stopped in at Big Lot and bought me some marked down crafty items.

#2
In the card below, I used my Unity Stamp of the Week. I love these little rubber rain boots. They are just too cute! I stamped the image onto a polka dot dsp. Then I used Ranger Pearls and dotted the petals of the flowers on the boot stamp. Then I went over the entire image with my crystal effects.

#3
The card below was created using products from a kit I purchased from My Craft Channel.
Loved that little bird! The ribbons are from the goodies hubs bought me. The paper doily is from Stampin' Up!

#4
This one was created using some of the decorative CS my youngest daughter gave me for Christmas. The stamp is from Stampin' Up! I colored with Copics.

#5

This Geisha is from an old set but I lost the packaging so. I don't know who it is from. I started coloring with my Prisma Color Pencils.

Still coloring

Finished coloring and putting it all together.

All done! Hope you found something inspiring here today.

COLORQ204

Well, a funny thing happened. I made a card for the ColorQ Challenge #203. However, by the time I got my post all written up and ready to publish, #203 was closed. So, I immediately got to work on my card for ColorQ challenge #204 and I am posting it NOW! I don't want to delay and miss another deadline. Besides that I love my card so much I can not wait to SHARE IT! So here ya go.
I used stamps from Chocolate Baroque and the sentiment is from Stampin' Up! I colored the flowers with my Tombow Blender pen and my Stampin' Up! ink pads: Bermuda Bay, Calypso Coral, Concord Crush and Lucky Limeade. All the flowers were stamped in distress ink color Black Soot. To each O in my sentiment I added a SU tiny pearl. Some Signo White gel pen here and there added some highlights.
Here's a closeup of a couple of the flowers. This set from Chocolate Baroque is #UA5SP0422 Fancy Flowers. There are 12 different flowers in the set! I only used 5 on my card.
I LOVE these stamps as there is so much detail and they are so easy to color whether you used you ink pads and blender pen or go straight marker to paper or even use your Copics these stamps WILL NOT disappoint!

Ok now back to the challenge at ColorQ 204, I used all of the colors in the challenge and they all seemlessly go well together. Those brilliant gals! If you love this color combo and think you can make it work then go on over to COLORQ and try your hand. Even if you are not sure about the colors, give it a try anyway. I think you'll like the outcome.

SoftPencil Tuesday

Today we are featuring the Easter Chick digital image. For my project this week I wanted to show you 3 different ways  you can color your digital images.
The first one below is colored with Copics Markers.

The one below is colored using KOH-I-NOOR woodless color pencils and a blender pen.

Finally the one below is colored using Stampin' Up! Watercolor Crayons and an Aqua Painter.

Of the 3 techniques I believe the Stampin' Up! Watercolor Crayons is my favorite.
Which is yours?

Be sure to check out the rest of the SoftPencil Studios DT's creations. You can reach them via SoftPencil Studios Blog or just simply by going to their links in my side bar.
