C4C177

Crazy4Challenges#177- sketch. I twisted the sketch. My image is a digital from Whimsy Stamps. Isn't she just the cutest little green fairy? I colored her entirely with Copics. Since Sunday is St. Patrick's Day I did her up all in green. Which was hard for me because my favorite color is GREEN so my green Copics are drying up from so much use. :O) Anyway, the sketch was fun and I loved coloring the image so I through this altogether and made my card.

SoftPencil Tuesday

Today we are featuring the Easter Chick digital image. For my project this week I wanted to show you 3 different ways  you can color your digital images.
The first one below is colored with Copics Markers.

The one below is colored using KOH-I-NOOR woodless color pencils and a blender pen.

Finally the one below is colored using Stampin' Up! Watercolor Crayons and an Aqua Painter.

Of the 3 techniques I believe the Stampin' Up! Watercolor Crayons is my favorite.
Which is yours?

Be sure to check out the rest of the SoftPencil Studios DT's creations. You can reach them via SoftPencil Studios Blog or just simply by going to their links in my side bar.

New Baby

This is a card I made for my niece and nephew on the birth of my new great niece, Aubree Angelina Rivera. The face of the card is my own design. If I can ever figure out how I did it, I will try my hand at a tutorial. All I can tell you right now is I started with a Daffodil Delight 12 x 12 sheet of cs. I cut it down to 5 1/2" x 12". Then from the short end (5 1/2") I measured 2 1/2" from the edges and cut at a diagonal towards the other end of the 12" side. Then I accordian folded the yellow piece and adhered it to a 4.125" x 5.5" card blank of Pumpkin Pie. All the dsp is Stampin' Up! Twitterpated and the images are from MO's Digital Pencil. I colored with Copics. I know Aubree is a sweet little girl baby but sometimes PINK just doesn't work for me. I love green so I decided to stick to the color I know. Hope you enjoyed looking. Sentiments are from Verve.

Special Delivery - SNBSC1

Special Delivery - Stretch N' Bubbles Sketch Challenge #1. For this challenge I decided to go for a baby card. My hub's 2nd cousin is expecting her first baby, a boy, Jaxon. So I made Ashley this sweet card. I made a special request of Alison; could she please draw me a bird with a baby. Well, I was so happy when I received an e-mail from Alison with a selection of 4 images to choose from. I immediately fell in love with "Baby On Board". I used my PaintShopPro program and colored her in, then resized her to fit on the postage stamp die from ProvoCraft. You can see from my photo that I used all of the embossing folders in the set in duplicates to make my card. I added the buttons to the first carriage so that it would make it a little more obvious this is a welcome baby card. I also wanted to keep this card CAS so I used barely banana and whisper white cardstock on the front. Inside I added some light turquoise to matte my sentiment. To finish off my card I added some ribbons and a little silver rattle charm (inside).
My internal sentiment says :
Babies are cuddles and memories to keep, (three a.m. feedings and too little sleep).
Babies are laughter and smiles to share, (and bottles, and booties, and bibs everywhere)!
Babies are sweet, and though they are small,
Babies fill up your heart - and your house - wall to wall.
Every time a baby is born, God smiles,
the angels dance, and a new star of hope lights up the skies.
Jaxon is here, and heaven is cradled in your arms.
Enjoy each and every once-in-a-lifetime moment!
Congratulations,
Ashley & Jeremy on your new baby!

TO MY PEEPS!

Ok, I've gone bird CRAZY!!! I just found this digital image site called Stretch N' Bubbles. And if you love birdies like I love birdies you'll want to check them out! Esp. their birdie section HERE. And their images are very resonably priced!
Seriously folks go check them out. If you haven't played with digis before or if you want to play with more, go look at their site and on the left side bar is a list of categories. Click on any of them and I am sure you'll be coocoo for their digis.
I am not being compenstated in any way, shape or form. I just fell in love with their images!

I'll be back a little later with my first creations using my newly purchased birdies.
