C4C311

Ok, for this one I started with watercolor paper. Stamped and embossed the trees. Then I sprinkled Bistre and Brushos onto the paper. I used a paper towel and a piece of plastic to mask off the lower portion of the paper then I spritzed with water. I waited for that to try. Then I masked the top portion and added green and yellow Bistre and Brushos to the bottom then I spritzed with water.
I used Stampin' Up! XL Round Label punch and created my two little hot chocolate mugs. Added some Liquid Applique' for the whipped cream on my hot chocolate. :-)

Fall is my favorite time of year. I love Thanksgiving and spending time with my family.

Sunday Stamps Weekly Challenge

This card was made for the Sunday Challenges Weekly Challenge #110 -- It's all about the sketch. Bistre & Brusho.

Below is the sketch.

I love this sketch! It challenges me to work with angles and measurements. That's MATH! And if you know me, you know I suck at math!!! LOL

But I enjoyed making my card.
Stamps are from Stampin' Up! Come to Bethlehem set # 120591.

JFF

Playing around with my Brushos last night and I came up with this. I got really lucky when the ink dripped down the right hand side of the card. It formed a perfect shadow of a tree. I then used my white gel pen to high light the trunk and branches. I love the sentiment. It is stamped in Versa Mark and heat embossed in White embossing powder.

Play Date with D & L

The first card you see below is actually the last one I made on our play date. But I am falling hard for Brushos. This card has heavy and light sprinkles of brushos in Turquoise and Purple. The background I sprinkled heavily the Brusho powders and spritzed with water. Then the flowers were done on a separate piece of cs, lightly sprinkled with Brushos then spritzed. The stems and leaves are from my SU Build a Bird punch. I just used Rangers liquid pearls to add the veins.

The next two cards were designed by Lorna on the left and Deb on the right.
Believe it or not, Lorna little patchwork pinwheel is made up of little squares! So cute!
Deb's card was created using dies, papers and stamps from a kit she brought along for us to play with. Love both of these cards!

The next two cards were designed by Lorna on the left and me on the right. Lorna used Stampin' Up! stamps and inks to create this super spring look! We added Wink of Stella to the flower petals and little rhinestones to some of the flower centers.
The card I designed was really quite simple. I used a deep plum colored cs as my base. Then with scraps I started making little pendants in varying sizes and matted them with contrasting colors. I used a piece of white twine to make my string. Added a few rhinestones colored with Sharpies to give a little flash. The sentiment is stamped with Versa Mark and heat embossed in white. The stamp is from SU! stamp set Feel Goods.

I love these gals so much. They pick me up when I'm down. They make me laugh. They inspire me. They love me unconditionally. Life is good!

MUSE116

Muse Challenge #116

The sample card inspired me by the colors and the layout. I chose to sprinkle Brusho onto my cs and spritz with water to get the multiple colors.I found that if I sprinkled the yellow then the leaf green and finally the turquoise I got a similar gradation in color as the Muse sample. I felt the chalkboard cs would be a close representation of the circle element on the Muse sample.
I have been experimenting a lot lately with Brushos, Bistre and Irredescent Creative Mediums. I love the surprises I've had with each element. Today is the first time I have used the Brushos and Creative Medium together. I am pretty content with the turn out. Oh and lets not forget those cardboard stencils from Faber Castell!

The products used to create this card:

SU! Very Vanilla and Chalk Board CS
Unity Stamp Co set Everything Wonderful
Versa Mark Ink
Ranger Seafoam White EP
Imagine Crafts Creative Medium Turquoise Irredescent
Faber Castell Stencil
ColourCraft Brusho Paint Crystals Yellow, Leaf Green and Turquoise
SU! Punches 2 3/8" Scallop Circle & Blossom
