Chicks Rule

4 Crafty Chicks Challenge - Chicks Rule! - Gotcha covered!!!
I just flew (pun intended) by the seat of my britches on this one. I just took a piece of 12x12 cs and cut it down to 11 x 4. Then I scored at 1 3/4", 5 `/2", 6 5/16" and 7 3/16". It makes the cutest little purse/treat holder.

Ladybug on Flower - SoftPencil

Ladybug on Flower - another SoftPencil design. Elizabeth has really outdone herself with this one. I just adore this sweet little image. The smiling ladybug just makes you smile too. I printed the image 5 times and colored them with Copics lipstick red and black and American Crafts mustard, leaf and Stampin' Up! real red markers. I matted my image on red cardstock from Bazzill and then on some kiwi vellum. The dp is from American Crafts. I added a little piece of red satin ribbon to the stem of the flower on the card and popped it up on foam adhesives and called this project done. I have no sentiment on my card yet and this giftie has no recipient yet.
Please join me and the other design team members (check their links in my side bar) this week and use SoftPencil images to make some super cute cards, altered items or scrapbook pages. AND be sure to check out the NEW Halloween digis Elizabeth has just added to her shop. AND she is offering up a terrific FREE Christmas digi.

Gift Bags

A friend asked me if I could make some gift bags to hold some door prizes she'll be giving away at her daughter's baby shower this month. It took me about 6 hours to complete these four bags. That's including time for glue to dry.
All dp is from s e i - dill blossom collection. Cardstock is Bazzill. Flowers are Kaiser Craft.
The tutorial for this gift bag is on SplitCoastStampers.

Thought of - SoftPencil #20

Not a CARD! This is a CARD PURSE! I used Beate's tutorial ( HERE )at SCS for the SoftPencil PCP Challenge #20. I combined 2 SoftPencil images to make my little scene. Then I used my Top Note Die, offset to cut out my image. The sentiment is Stampin' Up! The flower is a digi from Fred, She Said. Pattern cardstock is from Crate Paper.

Stamps and Smiles Project Tuesday Challenge - Gift bag

Hello:
Feeling much better today!
Here's my little gift bag I created for the Stamps and Smiles Project Tuesday Challenge. I started with the little cello bag from Keep in Touch kits. Then I grabbed a piece of Bazzill red weave texture cardstock and started stamping snowflakes and swirlies all over it in white ink which I heat embossed with clear powder. I used the negative end of my Spellbinders Borderabilities Lattice as my snowy topper. I also cut the pinked circle out of the largest and next to largest dies and used them to frame the window of my bag. My cello bag is empty so it looks way to big for my cardstock. But I think once I fill it with goodies it will fit perfectly. I added a wired cording for my closure and a chipboard holly leaf with a berry brad to embellish. I could have taken this a lot farther with embellies, but I liked the little Gingerbread man too much to over do.
The dimensions for my cardstock bag holder are : 1 piece of cardstock 12 inches long by 4.25 inches wide. Scor and fold at 5.5" and 6.5". Cut a coordinating piece of cardstock 1.5" by 4.25" and scor and fold in half (this is your topper).
