TEXAS - Libby's Texas Tues-Step. This week the 'POSSE' was given a stamp by Mark from Deadbeat Designs to use for our projects. We all received the same stamp and were asked to create to our hearts content with them. I created a set of cards using 2 of Deadbeat Designs' stamps. The smaller image of the state of Texas with the lone star is the gift/assignment stamp from Mark, I used for my focal point and the TEXAS stamp I used to create my dp. Everything was stamped in Stampabilities Brown. The smaller image of Texas was stamped, heat embossed with clear embossing powder and then watercolored with Night of Navy and Ruby Red using my aqua painter. I pounced with Stampabilities Brown on all the edges of the dp and the smaller image. Then I smudged brown ink to distress the entire project. The dp is matted with chocolate brown and a beige cardstock. I added antiqued brads to all four corners of each card. The smaller image is raised on foam adhesives. I love this set and it will be a nice birthday gift for a male friend here in Texas.
If you think you'd like to play along with the rest of the 'POSSE' then follow this link to Libby's blog and post your creations. Don't forget to check out the great talents of the rest of the design team; there links are in my sidebar under TEXAS TUES-STEP POSSE.

Great set of cards! I love how you made your own backgroud paper with the Texas word stamp! Great job!
I like the set. I like how you watercolored the image. The "patterned" paper is perfect. It would be a perfect little gift for a guy. Well, for a guy who actually sends out cards. Do you know any guys like that? I wish I did.
Nice job! Love the background and washed out coloring!
This is a wonderful set of cards Betty that I'm sure will be most appreciated! I love the watercoloring!
Love how these turned out Betty, they're so pretty! That background "DP" is the perfect touch!
