Season's Greetings - MTSC97

Season's Greetings - Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge #97. This is a very bice sketch. Quite fun to work with. I think I might have to use it again to make more Christmas cards. you may notice I have moved on from Halloween to Christmas without stopping for Thanksgiving. :O)
Sorry, although Fall/Autumn is my favorite season, I very quickly tire of Halloween. I could move right along to Thanksgiving but for some reason I don't send very many Thanksgiving cards. I do however sent a butt load of Christmas cards, somewhere around 75, I think.
I attended another Stampin' Up! card making class tonight. No Christmas cards though. We did make beautiful navy and white just because cards, and some really cute marina mist, chocolate chip and white cards, and some Grateful bookmark cards in pear pizzaz, cajun craze, more mustard and early espresso. For the last card which was wish Big we used river rock, early espresso, peach parfait, concord crush and pear pizzaz. Too much fun!
I don't have picture of them yet, but when I do I will post them in their own post with the title Stampin' Up! Card Class - Monday.

Isaiah 61:3 - MTSC79

Isaiah 61:3 Give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, a garment of praise, for the spirit of heaviness. Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge #79.
Cardstock is from Basic Grey All Natural collection. I love the colors in this collection and they work so well for a male card as well as for this sympathy card. The sentiment is from Verve. I stamped with Night of Navy. Then while the cardstock was still in the die I sponged some mellow moss around the edge. That green was too bright for the rest of the color palette so I sponged some close to cocoa on top. The dp is matted on a nice rice charcoal cardstock from American Crafts.

bug gotcha? - MTSC74

bug gotcha? - Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge #74. I saw this bugsomewhere and had to case it. The stamps set Pick a Petal really makes this little bug come to life! I stamped the dotted petal first in onyl orange and heat embossed. Then I stamped the flat round circles in mellow moss and heat embossed. Then I stamped the circles in rose red. Then sentiment is handwritten.
Cardstock: American Crafts, Bazzill
Stamps: Stampin Up! Pick a Petal
Designer Papers: Pink Paislee, DCWV
Ribbon: American Crafts

Just a Note... - MTSC72

Just a Note... - Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge #72. For my card, once I decided on black and white, I stamped one of the Elegant Ornaments from the Stampin' Up! set by the same name. I inked the stamped in Stampabilities white ink and stamped and heat embossed my black cardstock. My sentiment is computer generated the font is Embassy BT set at 22 pica. The image stamps are from a set by I Brake for Stamps. I added just a smidge of red with a CTMH red marker.

New Home - MTSC69 & TPE62

New Home - Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge #69 & The Pink Elephant's Challenge #62 - 1 image, 2 dies and 3 favorite embellies. My image is from PaperMom and colored with Copics & silver glitter gel pens. I die cut my image leaving just the bottom portion of the die intact ( it's the little bit of green ground and brown sidewalk behind the truck). I cut all the excess white away and then I cut another of the same size die and adhered my image to the die cut piece of light blue cs. My designer papers are from American Crafts & Basic Grey. For The Pink Elephant challenge 3 favorite embellies are, punches, ribbons and buttons.

Friend - MTSC64

Friend - Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge #64.You know, I always try to keep it simple. But sometimes even I get frustrated with myself because my cards look too cluttered. But with this one, I simply didn't care! I love the birdhouses and I layered the bee hive 3D style. I punched the floral border which is a little hard to see. Still, I'm lovin' this card! PP, charm, and cream cs are all from RAKs. The image is from Dottie's World I think. It's been forever since I downloaded it so I am not sure. Brads are from Basic Grey's Granola collection. Orange cabuchon is from JoAnns. Stumpin' Up! Top Note die. The cream cardstock came with this lovely wave cut into it already. In fact, this is 1 of a set of 8.

Long & Short of it... - MTSC63

The long & short of it is... I miss You! - Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge #63. The vision of this card came to me around midnight Thursday. I even wrote it down, cause I was off to bed and I didn't know if I'd remember the idea when I woke. The little boy Lewis (he always makes me smile when I look at him), you may recognize from my Clueless Cinema Saturday Challenge a few weeks ago. The Giraffe is a Whimsy Stamp and I used him on another card as well.
Hey! Did you notice? I worked in that pretty little bow I made!!!
I printed Lewis on cream cardstock so I would not have to color his body parts. The giraffe was handstamped then heat embossed. I colored both images using my Copics. I cut them out and adhered them to two scalloped oval Nesties. The balloon was cut with QuikCutz balloon die.

Both front cover and inside sentiments are computer generated and made up by me!
