4th of July Cards

Here I am again with more patriotic cards. These are for July's Independence Day. I have been commissioned by a little lady to make 30 4th of July cards. No 2 are exactly alike.

And they are all done and I am crazy about them all, if I do say so myself.

The Paper Players Challenge #199 - For my card I chose the Land of the Free stamp from Stampin' Up! I haven't used it very much since I purchased it. But when I saw the color combo this week I just had to go for it!

I started with Whisper White base. Then I cut stripes from Real Red. I punched the stand for my flag out of Night of Navy with the 1" circle punch and then cut it in half. The pole is from Silver Shimmer Paper and the little stars are from my stash of embellishments.

I went with a patriotic theme for my card. But red, white and blue works for any occassion, any time of the year.

SoftPencil Tuesday

Today I am featuring SoftPencil's Stickers...

I have to say, I don't usually use stickers on my cards because I find them one dimentional. However, I find if you add a little cardstock to the back and craft cut them you get a nice little embellishment or even focus piece. This is the case witht he little watering can and flower pots sticker from SoftPencils Tinytwinies Garden of Friends collection.
