MMSC31 - Blue Christmas

Hello Again:
I took a little break from crafting to watch Julie & Julia. It was a terrific movie! Thoroughly enjoyed it. Now back to cards.
This little number was created for "priscillastyles" Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge #31. I've used this little snowman before but never in monochromatics like this. I stamped him twice and used one for my image and one as a matte so I could add some snow drifts behind him. I stamped little blue snowflakes on my white background cardstock and then heat embossed them. He's colored with Copics, Spicas, Gel pens, Stampin' Up markers and Momento. The sentiment is hand written. Glittery cardstock is from the DCWV Glitter Matstack. Also used were my Spellbinders nesties, the scalloped oval and one of the tag dies. TFL

Stamps and Smiles Project Tuesday Challenge - Gift bag

Hello:
Feeling much better today!
Here's my little gift bag I created for the Stamps and Smiles Project Tuesday Challenge. I started with the little cello bag from Keep in Touch kits. Then I grabbed a piece of Bazzill red weave texture cardstock and started stamping snowflakes and swirlies all over it in white ink which I heat embossed with clear powder. I used the negative end of my Spellbinders Borderabilities Lattice as my snowy topper. I also cut the pinked circle out of the largest and next to largest dies and used them to frame the window of my bag. My cello bag is empty so it looks way to big for my cardstock. But I think once I fill it with goodies it will fit perfectly. I added a wired cording for my closure and a chipboard holly leaf with a berry brad to embellish. I could have taken this a lot farther with embellies, but I liked the little Gingerbread man too much to over do.
The dimensions for my cardstock bag holder are : 1 piece of cardstock 12 inches long by 4.25 inches wide. Scor and fold at 5.5" and 6.5". Cut a coordinating piece of cardstock 1.5" by 4.25" and scor and fold in half (this is your topper).

SSS33 - Happy Holidays

Hello:

Well, I kind of fell behind. I was sick Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday. I lost 7 pounds in 9 days. Although I am grateful for the weight loss, I don't ever want to lose it that way again!

Now to my card. Sorry the picture is so lousy. I can never get glittery things to come out right on my pictures. But you get the gist of it. This card was created using the sketch challenge #33 at Sweet N Sassy Stamps Blog. The images are stamps created by Korin Sutherland for her Sunbeams collection at Sweet N Sassy Stamps. The little girl is supposed to be holding a balloon, but I masked it off. The glittery tree was sent to me in a RAK from Anna Lark.

ICS#46 - Peace

3 for 6 now! Here's another card created using the Inspirational Card Sketches challenge #46. More Keep in Touch goodies too. I love Kelly's stick pins! This one is two pins in one bead, very pretty. Everything you see here was from a Keep in Touch kit with the exception of the cardstock and some of the ribbons.

I am off now to wait for the TV repairman, who called me at 8:45 a.m. to tell me he wouldn't be here until between 1 and 3 p.m. It's 1 now. Wonder how long he'll keep me waiting. :O)

ICS#46 - Noel

Hey! I'm 2 for 6! Slowly but surely I will get them done. Heehee.
Here is a card I am very pleased with. I love the sketch from Inspirational Card Sketches Challenge #46. Believe it or not, I started the design for this card with the music sheet paper. Although, it ended up hardly being seen at all. I still like the way this one came together. The sentiment and ornaments are all rub ons from Little Yellow Bicycle. The little flowers were white and I used my markers to color them red. Then I added the tiny gold brads for the centers. The left border on my image/sentiment piece is hand cut. Border punches are Martha Stewart and EK Success. Ribbons came in a kit from Keep in Touch. The blue glitter cs is from a DCWV Glittery matstack.

C4C14 - Joy to the World

Greetings!
Here's my Christmas card for my mom & dad. It's a gift card holder. The little pouch is on the back which you will see in the 3rd photo below. I created this card using the challenge at Crazy 4 Challenges blog.
I punched the scalloped circle out then backed the inside of my card with some pattern paper. I used rub on snow flakes and white brads. There are bits and baubles from Keep in Touch. There's also another poinsettia from Fred She Said. Inside the card is where I mounted my poinsettia. The sentiment is a rub on from Little Yellow Bicycle.

On the back is more pattern paper running in different directions to add some contrast. I stamped my personal logo on there and heat embossed.

This card is pretty simple to duplicate if you have a few folks on your list that you need to give gift cards to. So give it a whirl. I'd love to see what YOU come up with!

Sketch Saturday Sketch #80 - Joy

Hello Once Again:
I haven't forgotten what I promised. I just spent the day working on getting my Christmas cards that I've already made, addressed and stamped. Those will go out in tomorrow's mail. This card was made for my neices Maya & Sarah and I used the sketch at Sketch Saturday's #80. I don't have any Whiff of Joy stamps but I used the word JOY in my creation. :O) Maybe you can tell it's an easel card. I recently learned this technique for a challenge and I do love to make these. Ingredients:
Alota Rubber Stamps (image), Crate Paper (pattern paper), Fred She Said (poinsettia digi die cuts), Stickles, Art Institute Glitter, Spicas, Fiskars (corner punch), EK Success (border punch), Keep In Touch (ribbon, Santa sticker, Joy brad)

I'd like to offer a little Thank You to Marion Evans for turning me on to Fred She Said. I love their flowers! Thanks Myrt.

That's it for today. It has been a REALLY long day. I addressed and stamped 25 cards and I still have 20 more to MAKE, address and stamp. But tomorrow the TV repair man is coming so I don't know what time I'll be getting back to it. Saturday I am attending a Stampin' Up! class to make 20 more cards. I have NEVER been to ANY classes on card making. Wish me luck.
