PP154

The Paper Players Challenge #154 is to use the colors - Bermuda Bay, Baked Brown Sugar and  Crushed Curry. It's quite a different color combo but I think the colors all work well together.Mine is a very CAS card. I kept it that way because I didn't want to fussy it up around the lovely stamped image. The card was inspired by a card made by Frenchie. You can see her cards here: http://www.frenchiestamps.com/2013/07/stampinup-lovely-as-tree.html
Thanks Frenchie for the inspiration. Because I CASED Frenchie I DID NOT enter this card in the challenge. I just used the color combo.

SNS117

A NEW challenge for me Sketch N Stash challenge #117. So the sketch is on their blog. It's a pretty sketch and fairly simple to work with. I used my brayer and Pool Party, Marina Mist and Gumball Green inks to brayer my Whisper White cs. Ranger Adirondak Pitch Black ink on my tree and to distress the edges of my image. I used my Lucky Limeade marker to dab some color to the tree's branches. The dsp is from Stampin' Up! as well as the little silver florettes. I am so pleased with the way this one turned out. Hope you like it too and will pop on over to SNS and play along with the challenge.

DD60

My card was created using the color combo of Summer Starfruit and Gumball Green in tandem with the Swallowtail stamp from Stampin' Up! I inked up my stamp with Versa Mark, then Gumball Green. Then I stamped and used clear embossing powder. I added the colors with my finger daubers. The sentiment is from another Stampin' Up! set. Stampin' Up! rhinestones and my black Signo Gel pen, a couple of pieces of cs and this one is done!

Thanks for looking. If you like color challenges or if you are looking for some inspiration pop over to the Dynamic Duos blog and get it there!

FMS93

Happy Saturday to you!
On Friday, I had a couple of my crafty gal pals over and we played all day! This morning I slept in and when I got up I started on this card using the Allisa's sketch from Freshly Made Sketches #93.

As you can see the sketch was very clean and simple. I jazzed my Inkadinkadoo stamped image up with some Ranger Pearls. The image was stamped with Ranger Archival Ink in Coffee. I used my Prisma Color Pencils to add the color. Hope you enjoyed the peep (pun intended) into my nest..

JFF

Just playing around with my Water Droplets stamp from Designs by Ryn and my shimmer mist from Stampin' Up! and Shimmer Mist from Tattered Angels.

1. Using Tim Holtz distress ink pads I inked up my acrylic block. Worn Lipstick, Broken China, Faded Jeans, and Dusty Concord.
2. Spritz various mists (very wet). Not enough, redo. SU! Marina Mist, TA Viva Pink
3. Stamp the droplets onto the dried cs with TH Black Soot distress ink.
4. Added highlights with White Signo Gel Pen.
5. Wooden turtle from Pink Paislee. Gesso then, Donna Salazar Designs Mix'd Media inks: Denim Jean and Peridot.
6. Sponge Denim Jean ink all around the perimeter.
7. Same inks as #5 on the fern.
8. SU! pearls and flowers.
9. Adhere stamped image, pearls, turtle, flowers and fern.

I have to admit, I've had this stamp for a while now. I just hadn't come across a background that I wanted to stamp it on. Alas, you go to the old drawing board and come up with your own. Voila!

All done!

MOJO 300

Climbed way back in my stash for this one. But here in Texas we've had a bit of a cool front come in and it put me in the fall mood. Of course those of you who know me, know FALL is my favorite season!

I haven't used this Stampin' Up! set in a long time so I thought Spooktacular Greetings would make a fun card. The dsps as I said came from my scrap stash and I can't remember but I think they are from MME.

I just want to say congratulations to VERVE on their 300th MOJO MONDAY!

Be sure and check out the blog, there's some SWAG to be won!!!

CASE-ing Anna-Karin

Today I tried CASE-ing Anna-Karin at Layers of Ink. On Anna's project she used a Mason Jar die. I don't have the die so I made a scene and die cut a Spellbinders frame around it.
The technique Anna used is ink to acrylic block. I used two Versa Fine inks from TSUKINEKO - VFS- 62 Spanish Moss and VFS - 52 Toffee. I stamped the large flower with Stampin' Up! Cajun Craze and Old Olive for the stem. Then I stamped the other flowers with Versa Mark and heat embossed with Ranger Seafoam White. I have tried the ink to acrylic block technique before but in a more controlled manner. I think this "fly by the seat of your pants" way is more interesting and FUN!

Be sure to pop over to Anna-Karin's blog at Layers of Ink and see her Mason Jar project. It is totally awesome!!!
