Stamping Scenes and Coloring them

Recently my gal pals and I gave our group a name. We're calling ourselves Bodacious YaYa Stampers!
For over a month now the 5 of us have been getting together and creating some beautiful art work for our greeting cards. We stamp scenes and color with ink pads, markers, chalks, watercolor metalics, Q-tips, daubers, and cosmetic sponges. Below are just a few samples that I myself, painted. Enjoy!!!

Little Church in the Wild Wood - Stamped in Archivers. Sponge, dauber and marker added the color.

Sing like no one's listening: painted with watercolor metalics, water and a small brush.
Ice Cream Sunday: painted with watercolor metalics.
Weeping Willow: stamped in Handsome Hunter Stampin' Up! ink.
Forest stream: stamped in Archivers Sepia and daubed with ink from a pad.
Majestic Mount: Brayered completely with Soft Sky (SU) ink from pad. Stamped the image in Handsome Sunter (SU) ink pad. Rubbed some Handsome Sunter ink ink at the bottom with a cosmetic sponge. Then use a white Signo Gel Pen to highlight the mountains.
Watermill in Winter : the scene was stamped in Archivers Black. The color was added with Q-tips, cosmetic sponges, paint brushes and ink pads anf markers.
Springtime Blossoms: stamped with Archivers. Colored with Q-tips, cosmetic sponges and markers.
A Rose Song: stamped with Archivers. Colored with markers and cosmetic sponges.
Fresh Delivery: stamped in Archivers. Colored with paint brush and ink pad, cosmetic sponges and brayer.
Stamped in Basic Black, Daffodil Delight, Dusty Durango and Old Olive (SU) ink. Sponged various shades of the yellow/orange family in the sky and water. Stamped some trees over top and heat embossed with black embossing powder for dimension.
Bambi : stamped in Basic Black. Colored with sponges, daubers and markers.

My Ranier: stamped in Archivers black. Sponged on Sky Blue in a dragging motion over the sky. Then pounced with a sponge on the lower portion in Handsome Hunter varying the touch. Same thing with Violet and Lavender. Went over the high spots with white Signo Gel Pen.

This has been great fun and we intend to continue getting together once or twice a week just to play like this. It has brought my great joy to be able to have this time to sit and enjoy my friends.

Thanks for looking. Hope you've enjoyed what you've seen.

Blake's High School Graduation - brayer scene

My hub's cousin's oldest is graduating this month. We have watched Blake grow from the nine months in his mom's tummy to a handsome 18 year old man. Now it is time for Blake to graduate high school and go on to college. He has varied interests; music, girls, his truck, girls, playing guitar and oh did I mention GIRLS??? Well, it's no wonder. He plays guitar and sings. What girl wouldn't swoon? Anyhoo, here is the card I made for Blake. I brayered the background with SU ballet blue (sky), mellow moss (ground) and then I masked off the road spot and added creamy caramel. I have a little tiny grass stamp from a Hanna Stamps set and I just inked it up with the mellow moss and stamped all over the ground. Then I went over it with my black Copic marker. I inked it again with creamy caramel and stamped it in an upward line on the road to make ruts. The truck is a stamp from Deadbeat Designs. I stamped it and colored with Copics and Permapaque' Markers. It was too big so I scanned it, resized and printed in a much smaller size. I added white Signo gel ink to the bumper, tail lights and mirrors. My trees are also a stamp from Deadbeat Designs. I used my aqua painter with mellow moss to color my trees. Stamped Congratulations in ballet blue (stamp is from SU!). Lastly, I added some Signo white gel to the sky.

Inside sentiment:
Blake,
If you ever wonder whether you have
what it takes to succeed,
just remember this moment...
and all the love and pride that surround you
as you graduate.
Congratulations, Let the Journey Begin!
