Fellowship and Play Date EASTER2016

Today I have a bevvy of cards to share with all of you. While my sweet hubs baked a ham and cooked green beans and potato salad my girlfriends and I got to play. In the first picture below you will see all of the beautiful cards we created.

From left to right back row: Purple card was made by dry embossing a shimmer sheet and then sanding (by me).

Below card was designed by Lorna it has a tri fold with a triangle design on one edge.

The card with the roses on it was designed by me.

2nd row:
Window with flowers shutter fold card was designed by me.

Another shimmer sheet dry embossed and iced with Staz-On ink designed by me.

The next card with the flowers and sweet butterfly was designed by Lorna.

The next two cards were designed by Deb. Very cute - one the scaredy cat is peeking around the corner. The one with the two ladies has a little mechanism on the back of the image to make the rock.

3rd row: both of these were designed by me.

Sunday Stamps Weekly Challenge #122 - Going in Circles

I can't remember where I got the little image of the girl on the fish but I colored her with color pencils. The bubbles are a stamp from Ryn Tanaka @ designsbyryn.comThey have been colored with colored pencils as well. The sentiment is from Flourishes. Below is the sketch.

Pan Pastels and Versa Mark Ink

Using the Sweet Florals and Swallowtail stamps from Stampin' Up!
On the first project I used the Sweet Florals stamp. I stamped with Versa Mark on Whisper White cardstock. Then I used the Pan Pastels and the sponges and tools that came with them to dab and smudge colors onto my stamped image. The Versa Mark grabs the pastels. I added some color pencil lines to get a little more detail.

I used the Swallowtail stamp and the Versa Mark and Pan Pastels same way as above. Then I used my black gel pen to identify the Swallowtail's body.

I am sure I will need some kind of fixative or acrylic spray to set the pastels. But I am enjoying this technique so much. It's very relaxing.

Today we are working with the ColorThrowDown color combo of  Hot Pink, Teal, Black and White. I stamped my Penny Black stamp in Momento Black onto my cs. Then I used Tim Holtz Distress inks to color my image and a fine tipped paint brush with water. I used Worn Lipstick for the flowers and a combination of Peeled Paint, Salty Ocean and Faded Jeans on the butterfly. The sequined lace is from Making Memories and the tassle was hand made using We R memory Keepers Sew Easy Floss. The sentiment is from Flourishes Botanical Bookplates Vol.I

Hope you like my card. If you're up for the challenge click HERE to go to the Color Throw Down #382.
