Poinsettia Christmas -- CCC42

I know you are probably wondering why I used a torquoise cs. But what is very hard to see is that in the Stampin' Up! dsp is a few tiny stripes of what looks to me like torquoise. The poinsetties were all created using the Blossom Petals Builder Punch. They were spritzed with the Champagne Shimmer Mist. The large flower in the middle has some SU Pearls. The smaller one in the upper left hand corner has a SU Filligree Brad at it's center and the one on the bottom right has simply a silver brad. The SU ribbon is dotted grosgrain in Real Red. The little reindeer charm is from an old bracelet. He works perfectly for a Chirstmas card.

This card was created for the Christmas Card Challenge #42. Peggy Toole presented us with a sketch challenge this week. Hope you'll go and join the fun.

Thanks for looking.

Fun - CCC149 Single Layer

Cupcake Craft Challenge 149 - make a single layer card. For my single layer card I used an embossing folder and embossed the Calypso Coral cardstock. Then I used Wild Wasabi on the stems and Crumb Cake on the dots. Then I added some pearls and the NEW Chocolate Chip 1/2" Scallop Dots Ribbon #124142 and there is 10 yards on this spoon!!! A sentiment brad and a dangling charm finish it off.

Lily Pad July Card Chain Swap

For this card we had options: Color Combo of buttercut, kiwi, watermelon, teal and tangerine. I tried to use all the colors because they made such a pretty palette. A sketch which they provided and I went by as well. A theme: 4th of July, swimwear or friendship. I think my card falls into the Friendship category on this one. If you choose to play along you can SWAP your card with another cardmaker playing along, who knows, it could be ME! :O)
Deets on the SWAP can be found HERE.

2011 Christmas Card Challenge Week #29

Be merry -- My card uses fabric as my flower. I used several dies to create my card. The flower utilizes the Bigz L Fun Flowers die and the Large Daisies die. I cut multiples of each and just kept layering until I got the size, shape and look I wanted. I added a corduroy covered brad. I cut a piece of cardstock using the Top Note die and then I used chalks to add some red and yellow to the raised areas. I iced the edges of my tag and spritzed with Champagne Mist. Tied some twine onto my tag and wrapped it arounf the top note cs. Christmas Card Challenge (FABRIC).

This card is also my challenge card for the PCP Cuttlebug-ers this week.

I saw this used at a class in Nov. and I just got it free with my Sale-A-Brations order!!! It really is stunning on Pretty in Pink cardstock that has been embossed with the Elegant Bouquet embossing folder too. For my card I stamped it in Real Red on Whisper White. Then I stamped the sentiment in Old Olive.

Winter Friendship Stocking - CCC5

Winter - Your friendship means the world to me. - Christmas Card Challenge #5  Guess what!? I totally forgot to do some embossing. So I guess I'll have to try this again tomorrow and do one with some embossing on it. Anywhooo - This card was created using Bashful Blue, Kraft, Cherry Cobbler, Night of Navy and Pacific Point cardstock from Stampin' Up!
I drew and cut out the stocking on a piece of scrap cardstock. Then I temporarily adhered it to a 12 x 6 inch piece of Bashful Blue and cut around it. The finished stocking will fit in a 4.25 x 5.5 inch envelope. I cut little heal and toe stitch lines of the Kraft and adhered them. I used a couple of border punches on the blue and kraft cardstock. I punched the owls with the Two Step Owl Extra Large punch (#118074 $16.95) using the Pacific Point and Kraft cs as well as 2 hearts punched in Cherry Cobbler. The sentiment and flourishes were stamped with Crumb Cake using the (#114308 this was a Level 2 hostess set in the 2009-2010 catalog). I just love the little owls and made their googley eyes so they were looking at each other. :O)
