Christmas Card Challenge 42

Christmas Card Challenge #42 - Music. Stamp is from Chocolate Baroque. It's stamped in Versa Mark and heat embossed with Ranger Seafoam White embossing powder. I added a yellow rhinestone for the Eastern Star. The doily came from a local restaurant. I just cut it in half to make it fit my card. DSP is from Glitz Love You Madly paper pack.

CCC#38 FAITH

Christmas Card Challenges #38 - Faith. I love this Stampin' Up! set The Sounding Joy. That flourish of JOY really is beautiful! The words to Joy to the World are stamped in Whisper White on Real Red dsp. The word Joy was stamped in Cherry Cobbler and heat embossed. The Real Red cs was embossed in the Vintage Wallpaper ef that I slathered with Cherry Cobbler ink. I always like to highlight with Stampin' Up! rhinestones. The dies are Spellbinders.

CCC9NSCHCBB

Just a reminder, my KIT OFFER is running out. So if you'd still like to preorder just e-mail me ASAP.

Here's my entry for the Christmas Card Challenge Week #9 to used your FAVORITE TECHNIQUE and for Sugar Creek Hollow Challenge of Cream, Blue and Brown. For my technique I chose embossing: heat as I hope you can see on the fir tree. I also embossed the die cut but it is a little difficult to see in the photos. As the Christmas Card Challenge says "WINTER or CHRISTMAS" themed I chose to give my card the snowy look by adding Stampin' Up! Frost White Shimmer Paint which I think shows up a little better in the photo below.

Sugar Creek Hollow asked us to use Cream, Blue and Brown on our creations so... I used Very Vanilla, Chocolate Chip, Pool Party and Island Indigo card stock. I stamped my Lovely As A Tree stamps in Marina Mist (bakground trees), Pear Pizzaz and Island Indigo on the large fir tree in the foreground. Added some double sided satin ribbon. A trio of the Twitterpated Designer Buttons with Early Espresso twine at the bottom left hand corner.

Poinsettia Christmas -- CCC42

I know you are probably wondering why I used a torquoise cs. But what is very hard to see is that in the Stampin' Up! dsp is a few tiny stripes of what looks to me like torquoise. The poinsetties were all created using the Blossom Petals Builder Punch. They were spritzed with the Champagne Shimmer Mist. The large flower in the middle has some SU Pearls. The smaller one in the upper left hand corner has a SU Filligree Brad at it's center and the one on the bottom right has simply a silver brad. The SU ribbon is dotted grosgrain in Real Red. The little reindeer charm is from an old bracelet. He works perfectly for a Chirstmas card.

This card was created for the Christmas Card Challenge #42. Peggy Toole presented us with a sketch challenge this week. Hope you'll go and join the fun.

Thanks for looking.

not even a mouse - CCC31

...not even a mouse - Christmas Card Challenge #31 - Twas the Night Before Christmas. I chose a Sweet N Sassy digi Ornament Cocoa. Cocoa is just a cute little mouse and I love using him for holiday cards. This ornament was colored with Stampin' Up! new color marker Lucky Lime! As you can see it matched my cs perfectly! I also used some silver gel pen. I added Crystal Effects to give the ornament a life like feel and look. I used CE on the red ribbon on the ornamnet as well. The epoxy snowflakes are from my stash. The red and off white striped ribbon is Stampin' Up! 1` 1/4" Cherry Cobbler grosgrain. My sentiment is computer generated. I added a couple beads and some of the Stampin' Up! twine.

OOOOOOOOOOooooooooooooooooooooooo Stampin' Up! I am loving you so much for the NEW Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer Punch! The fab-o thing about it is that there are 3 settings and I punch 9 pieces to create my flowers. The leaves are punched with the 2 Step Bird Punch. The left border was punched with the Scallop Trim Border punch. Cardstock is Cherry Cobbler, Real Red and Confetti White. Sentiment is stamped with Cherry Cobbler ink using All Year Cheer III.

Old Fashioned Christmas - ICS113 & CCC22

Old Fashioned Christmas - I posted this card to 2 challenges - Inspirational Card Sketches #113 and Christmas Card Challenge #22. I must say, the troop at ICS sure did give me a challenge this week! This sketch, although it creates a beautiful pattern it is a challenge to cut all the pieces to fit. Still it was F U N! The Christmas Card Challenge was to use metal. I think I took a little artistic license with this one in that my "ribbon" accents are gold and I used a gold ink on the bells in my main image. I just wanted to say, that beautiful ribbon rose at the bottom right hand corner was HANDMADE by ME!!! I am so proud of that little accent. My SU pal, Deb Segler and I went to a SU retreat this past weekend and Amy (her last name excapes me ATM) showed us how to make these. She only showed us one time and today I made my first one!
Hope you enjoy my card and I hope the CCC folks can appreciate my take on the "metal" challenge. :O)

Warm Holiday Wishes - CCC#14

Warm Holiday Wishes - Christmas Card Challenge #14. Lovely sketch provided to us to play with. New dp from CupCardsToGo. The flourish is Elizabeth from Stampin' Up! I saw this used at a class in Nov. and I just got it free with my Sale-A-Brations order!!! It really is stunning on Pretty in Pink cardstock that has been embossed with the Elegant Bouquet embossing folder too. For my card I stamped it in Real Red on Whisper White. Then I stamped the sentiment in Old Olive.
Hope you enjoyed this Christmas Greeting card... I always say, "Keep Christmas in your heart all year through". With Christmas Card Challenges, you can do just that!

Winter Friendship Stocking - CCC5

Winter - Your friendship means the world to me. - Christmas Card Challenge #5  Guess what!? I totally forgot to do some embossing. So I guess I'll have to try this again tomorrow and do one with some embossing on it. Anywhooo - This card was created using Bashful Blue, Kraft, Cherry Cobbler, Night of Navy and Pacific Point cardstock from Stampin' Up!
I drew and cut out the stocking on a piece of scrap cardstock. Then I temporarily adhered it to a 12 x 6 inch piece of Bashful Blue and cut around it. The finished stocking will fit in a 4.25 x 5.5 inch envelope. I cut little heal and toe stitch lines of the Kraft and adhered them. I used a couple of border punches on the blue and kraft cardstock. I punched the owls with the Two Step Owl Extra Large punch (#118074 $16.95) using the Pacific Point and Kraft cs as well as 2 hearts punched in Cherry Cobbler. The sentiment and flourishes were stamped with Crumb Cake using the (#114308 this was a Level 2 hostess set in the 2009-2010 catalog). I just love the little owls and made their googley eyes so they were looking at each other. :O)
