CTD337

Orange, Light Blue, Kraft and Limey Green are the challenge colors this week at ColorThrowDown #337.

For the challenge I chose to make a set of cards for my mom. She always loves having some of my cards on hand. So I figured I'd do this little set for her. I just purchased this Memory Box die called Pierson Corner. It looks so fabby when cut! I just ran my cardstock through my Big Shot and die cut each color. Then with my two way glue pen I mixed and matched the die cut pieces into my cards. I love the way they all turned out and I wouldn't be afraid to bet I'll be trying this with other color combos!

ColourQ205

COLOURQ #205 -

My stamps are Close to My Heart Classy Doily Flair (B1424), Stampin' Up! Papaya Collage (126612) and Pursuit of Happiness (121970).
I have to say this color combo did not appeal to me right away. In fact it wasn't until my card was complete that I decided I liked the color combo. Just sayin', don't poo poo something until you've given it your best shot. Think outside you the box - as everyone seems to be saying these days. I did and I liked it. So may you.

CR84FN47

Inspiration for CR84FN #47 -- lt. pink, red, lt. blue.

My take on the challenge. I modeled the die cuts after the edge of the cake plate and pie edging. The ribbons on the hat pin example the ribbons ob the swing. The flower is for the bouquet. The beads, pearl and rhinestones pay homage to the brides jewelry.

Hope you will try out the color combo and if you do, don't forget to enter it into the challenge.

Check out my KIT OFFER. Hurry, expiration is February 4, 2012.

thinking of you - ICS72 & CTD99

thinking of you - Inspirational Card Sketches #72 and Color Throw Down #99 - cream, chocolate and turquoise. These colors really worked well with this sketch and each other. I started with a base of cream and added turquoise and chocolate mattes. I didn't have any dp with these colors so I made my own by cutting strips of chocolate, turquoise and cream. I adhered them to the chocolate cs with my Elmer's Glue Stick. I used some ribbon over cs stock as one of the elements of the sketch.
I used my aqua painter and my tempting turquoise to paint the hat and the water in my image. The image is from Stampin' Up! summer by the sea and the sentiment is also Stampin' Up! always in my thoughts. Ribbon and stick pin are from CupCardsToGo kits.
The Inspirational Card Sketch is sponsored by Debra ICSDT  this week challenge with this yummy candy below, it includes:
26 sheets of 6"x6" paper
30 ribbon roses
1 pack doodlebugs clear stamps
Thank you so much Debra.

Twilight - PPC-CC7

Twilight - Picture Perfect Creations - Color Challenge #7 tempting turquoise, very vanilla, and chocolate chip. The base of my card is very vanilla. Then I have two mattes; chocolate chip and tempting turquoise. I ran them both through the Cuttlebug with the victoria embossing folder. On a piece of whisper white I ran through the Cuttlebug with the Top Note die, I brayered Color Box sky blue, Hampton Arts turquoise, and Marvy #10 lt. blue. I stamped the tree, bushes and cat tails with Stampabilities brown. With a dauber I added the two mounds and smudged the edges all around with the brown. I even smudged a little over the moon. Added white Signo gel pen hightlights. I used my 1/8" punch and punched 4 holes at the top and wove the brown rib IN, OUT, IN, OUT so that I'd have a flat piece in the middle. Then I tied a knot in a piece of turquoise wired ribbon. Voila!
