Mother's Day Card

Here's a little shot of the card I made for my mom for Mother's Day 2017. I used dies from Mama Elephant to cut window frames, window boxes and shutters. I used punch from Stampin' Up! for my cardinals, flowers and stems. The lacey border is a punch from Martha Stewart. DSP, ink and cardstock are all from Stampin' Up!

To make my cardinals I searched Google for a photograph of a male and female side by side so I could compare colors. My mom loves birds! In her living room she has her chair set up next to a window overlooking her backyard. She can sit for hours watching the birds come and go to her flowers and feeders.

I was fortunate enough to spend this Mother's Day with my mom as well as my dad, my brother and sister in law and my hubs. It was a beautiful day. Hubs cooked brisket, potato salad and green beans. I made a cake and we all enjoyed our meal, our day and our visit!

Hope all Mother's had a blessed day.

C4C324

Crazy 4 Challenges #324 is a sketch. I cut my papers but somehow got the sketch flipped. Anyhoo, I am happy with the way this one turned out. Die cuts, stamping, punches and lace were all used on this one. Oh and that gorgeous DSP is from Stampin' Up! I am thinking Spring with this; Easter, Mother's Day or maybe get well. What say you?

CR84FN46

Love One Another ---

This is the inspiration for CR84FN46 - Lt. Pink, Yellow and Neutral.

Below is my card. I chose to make a wedding card for a friend of ours who got married in Thailand in December 2011. I was waiting until after they returned from their honeymoon to ask what they needed/wanted as their wedding gift. This is what the groom, our friend, said to me, "We are abundantly blessed. We only need a beautiful card." Isn't that just the sweetest thing?! So here I am presenting you with Sanon & Veena's wedding card. I was presented, from my mom, a bag full of beautiful laces in yellow, pinks, light blue, and ecru. So what I used on my card is the lt. pink, lt. blue, pale yellow and some of the green satin ribbon that was also in the bag. I embossed the pink panel cardstock. Added some flower rhinestones and some glittery leaves.
I added a little loopy string of pearls to the flower.
My sentmient was a little diffcult to read in the above picture so here it is again. It says, "Love one another."

I'm really proud of this photo as for about two years I ahve been trying to take closeups with my camera and had so many failures I had given up. I think I whipped it this time. I actually had some great lighting (one of my Christmas pressies from the hubs) and used the timer on the camera.

Anyhoo, if you'd like to play along with the gals at CR84FN, just pop on over there and follow the rules.

Hope you like my card! Be sure to check out my kit I am selling HERE. But hurry, the deadline to purchase is February 4, 2012.

Best Wishes - Caardvarks: Lacy Days

Best Wishes - Caardvarks: Lacy Days. Create your best NEW, stamped card using lace! Link us to your creation via Mr. Linky at the end of this post. Please remember to link to your blog post, not your main blog address. Entries must be submitted by April 3rd at Midnight, PST.

For my card I used DCWV - Mocha patterned cardstocks and Stampin' Up! cardstock. I taped pieces of cardstock together for my pattern and then cut with my Top Note. Then I punched two scalloped circles and punched hearts and dots into the edges. My laces are from my stash. The chipboard branch is from The Daily Grind. I stamped my JustRite Best Wishes onto some distressed purple Crate Paper onto which I added some purple ink smudged on top. I offset my peony Nesties and cut my tag.
