HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Brother - SSS65 & CCCC39

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Brother - Sweet N Sassy Stamps challenge #65 - use a tag and Stampin' Stacey's Curtain Call Color Challenge Act #39 - whisper white, kraft, wild wasabi, and certainly celery. Since we were kids; my sis and I always called our brother, Lester, Brother. He was named after our father, but Brother always seemed to fit better than Lester. Although, Mom usually called him by both his given name and his middle name, Lester Charles, Daddy usually called him Brother. I think most of our cousins called him "Brother" too. I still call him "Brother". His birthday is August 2nd and Daddy's is August 3rd. So I will soon be posting a card for my dad. But I wanted to share this one and the reason for the sentiment.
The image was a RAK and is colored with my aqua painter.
Hope you like my card.

Courage - SNB5

Courage * Wait on the LORD, be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, waith on the LORD. Psalm 27:14 - Stretch N Bubbles sketch challenge #5. I love this little teapot from Stretch N Bubbles. It's so cute and you can make it bright and cheery with the colors you choose. The Copics used: G14 and YG23 for the leaves and stems, Y11 for the teapot body, R29 for the cherries, R05 for the dots and C1 for the shadow. My sentiment is a digital from Sweet N Sassy's encouragement sentiments. Ribbon is from Stampin' Stacey, it's a Stampin' Up! ribbon but it's a giftie from Stacey. :O) Thank You Stacey! The designer papers are Quite Contrary Little Miss Muffet collection.

Happy Birthday - SNSDD12

Happy Birthday - Sweet N' Sassy Digi Day 12 (Birthday theme) . I started with the digital image below in my PSPro and took away all the Christmas-y bits. Then I printed it twice - once on designer paper from k i memories and once on whisper white card stock. Then I paper pieced the cup with the handle over the black and white image. Then with Copics I proceeded to color the mouse.
Next I die cut two diff. sizes of the peony (pink & orange). Then I used my Martha Stewart Star border punch and made a top border and a bottom border. The large flowers are from Crate Paper; they are die cuts I added dimensionals and Basic Grey brads to. Top Note die, ribbon and Stampin' Up! sentiment finish it off.
The inside sentiment says: May you cup overflow with birthday wishes.
The card is a gift card holder. I made a little pocket on the back to hold the gift card ( to that famous coffee shop. You know the one). :O)

Believe - Sweet N' Sassy Digi Thursday sketch with a spin *Fuzzy Wuzzy*. My birds on a limb are from Inkadinkado. They were stamped on white cardstock I brayered with ColorBox sky blue. Then I colored them in with Copics - about 5 shades of blue and one orange. Two KaiserCraft flowers were stamped in Cat's Eye marigold and canary. The sentiment is also from Kaiser Craft. Pattern papers are from Basic Grey's offbeat paper pad. Cardstock is from Stampin' Up! You can't see the ribbons too good but they are from My Mind's Eye.

wonderful Mother - SSS44

Some days, nothing goes right! I wanted to use 3 matching green flowers on my card and I could only find two that match and then one scraggler from some place else. But even tho they didn't match perfectly I think they will do in a pinch. :O) I embossed 3 pieces of lime cardstock with different folders. Then I sanded them to show the white. Then I rubbed a ColorBox Chalk ink pad in Rouge over the white parts. I used the Stampin' Up! stamp wonderful Mother from the Well Scripted set on my 4th piece of lime cardstock. The little lacy bits are from Bazzill's - Just the Edge cardstock strips. It was a wave pattern I used my Martha Stewart lace border punch on. I love my border punches so. But this one gives me fits. It doesn't really like cardstock so much. So I have to wiggle it and punch, punch, punch until I hear it click. I like the way it all turned out any way. This card was based off The Sweet Stop's SSS44 sketch challenge with a twist to Think Spring. I got it! :O)
