Jazzy's Paper Designs DT project for this week...

Hello:
I have created my project for Jazzy's Paper Designs .
Our inspiration this week is this CD cover.

And this is my card for this challenge. Jazzy simply said, "Use red, black and white." I think I covered all those bases!
Victorian EF in Cuttlebug on black cardstock
Bee Mine sentiment and Puppy image (Colored with Copics, the heart was filled in with red Stickles)) are from Little Paper Shop Stamps
Ribbons, doily and brad are from a Keep In Touch Kit
Red pattern paper is from Pink Paisley

Dream Big - masculine card - CSCC#63

Hi There!
I tried a NEW challenge today. I popped over to PCP and searched through the groups for a new challenge and came across Cinema Saturday Creative Challenge. This is challenge #63 for them and challenge #1 for me. But they are featuring one of my favorite movies this week, AUSTRALIA! So I really wanted to play along. The little extra challenge in there was to use Kraft on your project somewhere. I used it in several ways as you will see below. Kraft uses on this project - background embossed with Fleur De Lis, the ribbon, the brads, and the pattern paper. The stamp is from Scarlet Lime. The ink used is from Rubber Stamp Paint Box (applied with a dauber). Cardstock is Stampin' Up! Pattern Papers are from ki Memories classic prints paper pad.

I carry Your heart next to Mine - CCCCA14 & LLWWC23

This sweet Valentine card was pretty easy to put together. I used cardstock from DCWV Pocket Full of Posies stack. How apropos as it is a pocket/gift card holder. :O)

Inside my card... sentiment is "I carry Your heart next to Mine. Happy Valentine's Day!"
I used Stacey's Curtain Call Color Challenge#14 & La-La's Weekly Wednesday Challenge#23 to create my card. Stacey's colors this week are Bashful Blue, Orchid Opulence, Almost Amethyst, and Whisper White. La-La's challenge is to make a gift card holder. I think my little pocket supplies that "holder" space.
Thanks for looking.

You Bring Out the ANIMAL in Me! - SASPT Wiper Card

Ok, when I read about how to do this card and then watched Beate's video tutorial, I thought easy peezy, lemon squeezy. Well, I started this card at noon and I just finished it up at 2:45 p.m. Needless to say, I won't be making very many of these. :O)
But that said, I am very pleased with what I turned out. The stamps are from Clear Dollar Stamps. The sentiment, well, I made it up myself and it is computer generated. This card was created for Stamps and Smiles Project Tuesday challenge. Here's the sentiment added after I printed it out.

PCP CUTTLEBUG-ERS CHALLENGE #57 - Heart & Butterflies

This week's theme is Butterflies and Hearts. I'd love to see what you can create with the cuttlebug hearts and butterflies combo die cut embossing, but you can play along even if you don't have them. Just use any dies/folders you have on hand.

Please tag your photos with: pcpcuttlebug57

Remember to have fun!!!

For my creation I first embossed the Leafy Branches on Whisper White. Then I cut and embossed my butterflies. Next I cut my little hearts with my smallest Spellbinders nestie in both WW and Really Red. I glued the individual pieces together and then randomly placed them, glueing them down. The sentiment was cut; largest die of dark red and smallest die of WW. Then I stamped Forever and Love with my JustRite Stamps. I added some ribbon from Keep In Touch and Voila!

St. Jude's Children's Valentines

St. Jude's Children's Valentines
Here are some of the guidelines from St. Jude hospital and a few of Winter's.

* Cards need to be a Valentine theme.
* Cards can't have anything about 'Get Well Soon', 'Feel Better', or anything reminding them of being sick. (Only Valentine Cards)
* Please make cards that can be used for any gender or age.
* Cards must be able to fit into a 4 1/2 X 5 3/4 envelope. (Winter will provide clear envelopes for each card, so there is no need to send one with your card.)
* Please send all cards to Winter at:
Winter Sims
Cards for St. Jude
P.O. Box 754
Warren, TX 77664
* You can include a message in the inside, but please remember, nothing reminding them of being sick. (Maybe just a Valentine sentiment.) You can also sign your name and where you are from.
* Winter will be accepting cards for the whole month of January. At the end of the month, she will pick random winners for prizes. She will be adding more prizes, often. The more cards you send, the more times your name goes into the drawing. Let your kids get involved too! :)
* Please send a piece of paper with your name, address, email address, and the amount of cards you sent. (It will help with the drawing.)
* If anyone wants to donate a prize for the drawings, please email Winter with the details at marcussim@aol.com .

Below are the three cards I am sending to Winter for St. Jude's Kids.

Easter Blessings - SSHP15

Well, I've been working on this one since I got up this morning. It came together quite nicely. I think. I am diggin' these pattern papers from Basic Grey's Offbeat Collection. This card was created for Saturday Spotlight's Let the Sunshine In challenge. My inspiration for this card was the little birdie pattern paper. It's just so yummy! The birdie, stroller and handle are all from There She Goes (sentiment is from TSG as well) and the little eggs in the stroller are from Sweet `N Sassy. I used Nesties, and border punches and brads for some texture and dimension. The ribbon and beaded trim just accented it all.

Seamus - a dog and his bone

Hi,
If you've been following the saga of Seamus McGee then here's another installment for you. If not, them scroll down and look at some cards.

Seamus, who couldn't love that face???
He's such a sweet boy. A dog and his bone... (Needs no more explanation). :O)
Seamus went for his first visit with our veterinarian on Saturday. He tested positive for heartworms. Monday morning he goes in for treatments and will have to stay overnight. I am very concerned for him. He does not do well with separation. I am hoping he will not get so stressed that it will cause issues with the heartworm treatments. We will have to keep him quiet for a month. No long walks, no playing on the floor, no excitement. I worry the anxiety of separation may be too much for him. But I am trying to stay positive. He's just wriggled his way into my heart and I love this big ole bear!

Seamus:

Oh boy! Yesterday was Mike's first day back to work since we got Seamus. He was very busy looking for Mike for the first half of the day. Then the guy came around and dropped the new phone books off on the front porch (I had the inside door open and the storm door closed). When the guy dropped the books on the porch they made a noise and Seamus went bizerk! He ran from the front door through the living room and into the dining room sliding glass door. No harm no fowl. Then he proceeded behind the curtains there and managed to scoot the turtle's tank away from the wall. Then he proceeded into the laundry room and tried to climb on top of my dryer. When he realized he could not get up there he then laid down on the floor in the dark there in front of my washer and dryer. He stayed there until about 3 p.m. Finally I went with his leash to take him outside and he came with me. All the while watching the front door. Guess we have a fraidy cat err... dog on our hands. And I thought he'd be good protection for me during the day while Mike is at work. Yeah right!

I have some cards I worked on for the past 2 days but I can't show them yet. They are for Tenia's (Jazzy's) design team assignment. I will be able to show them on Saturday. In the mean time I will be working on Julee's Mojo card and PriscillaStyles Tuesday challege cards.

PCP CUTTLEBUG-ERS Challenge #55

Hi There!
This is my first post of the new year and I am pretty excited about this one. I receive a newletters in my in box every week from SplitCoastStampers. Usually there is a technique or design featured. This week's Inkling was all about a technique called FAUX LEATHER. Now I don't have a sample for you yet. Only because I don't have any Versamark™ pads and I don't have the mosaic embossing folder. But as soon as I can get to Hobby Lobby I will get these items and create something for you all to see. In the meantime here is the link to the tutorial and a video you can watch. I love Beate's tutorials and videos. She's AWESOME!

You DO NOT have to make a wallet. In fact, I'd like to see masculine cards. So today's challenge is Faux Leather on a masculine card.
Now go play and remember to have FUN!

Please use the tag: pcpcuttlebug55 when posting your creations.
I'll be posting my sample asap.
