Stampin' Up! Botanical Builder Framelits

Ever since I laid my eyes on this set of framelits from Stampin' Up! I can't get enough of them!!!  Below are just a few of the cards I have made with this set.  The first card is for a friend's baby girl. I stuck with the pale pinks and a sort of peach with an accent of pistachio green. The card has since arrived at its destination and Mommy just loved it!

The card below I just made for fun. But it just goes to show you can do sooo much with this set.

Like monochromatic??? Then give this a try!!!

Add that little pleated curtain effect to the die cut pieces and watch the magic happen!!!

Happy Birthday Kaley

Recently my cousin, Pat asked me to create a card for her granddaughter Kaley. Pat told me Kaley likes horses and the color green. She also stated that Kaley was turning 17. So, as I pondered what I would create for Kaley's 17th birthday card, the wheels began to turn. I knew I wanted to wow both Pat and Kaley. So I immediately decided to stamp a scene. So I pulled out my mountain scene stamp from Stampscapes and stamped onto glossy cardstock (photo paper) with Memento Black. Then I added some trees from Stampscapes and Stampin' Up! The Mare and colt from Stampabilities was stamped onto a separate piece of glossy cardstock then cut out. Using the Top Note Die from Stampin' Up! I created a window. I colored the images with my Stampin' Up! markers and a dauber. Added highlights with a white gel pen. The dotted Ranger Liquid Pearls to make the flowers. The sentiment is from Stampin' Up! The flowers are Petaloo. The card is interactive in that when you pull and push t…

Curtain Call May 1

Firstly, let me wish all the moms out there a very Happy Mother's Day!
Below is my card for the Curtain Call May 1 challenge.

My card was created using the Sweet Floral stamp from Stampin' Up! I stamped the image with Versa Mark and used Pan Pastels to smudge the colors. On top I place a die cut in shiny gold. I stamped the butterfly and colored it with my ColourArts Silks acrylic paints. Then went over it with my Wink of Stella. I love this clean and simple card!  If I'd have left the sentiment off, this would have been a perfect Mother's Day card!  Hope you have a blessed Mother's Day.
