FreshlyMadeSketches24

sending Sprintime smiles - Freshly Made Sketches #24. Still lovin' this Stampin' Up! Twitterpated DSP! This card features both sides of a single sheet of DSP. It's hard to see all the colors in the stripes on the upper portion but there is some red and some calypso coral as well as basic gray, island indigo, bashful blue, pear pizzazz and old olive. I almost incorporated them all in this card. LOL

Twisted RED

Hello once it again it is time for my Twisted Sketches Twisted Card assignment. I am not a real big Valentine's Day fan. Not that I haven't found my own true love, just that making cards for this holiday doesn't appeal to me that much. BUT, that said, I went out guns blazing on this one! The gate felt piece was adhered to a piece of very vanilla cardstock and then I trimmed away the excess. Added some pearls and little hearts cut and embossed with the Fashionable Hearts embosslit. All of that is adhered to a piece of Real Red cs.
Please join us at Twisted Sketches this week to play along with our sketch and our color challenge of RED!

Lily Pad

Lily Pad Virginia's View Challenge. We had the option of using just the photo inspiration or both the photo and the sketch. I chose to use both.

Twisted Sketches #92

Hello Again! This week the "TWIST" is Fresh. So for my "FRESH"ness I chose a springtime theme. Spring has always held a meaning of new beginnings or 'fresh' starts for me. So I picked stamps from SU Easter Blossoms set. I stamped the egg and the sentiment in Early Espresso. Added some SU pearls and dsp. Love these colors together. Hope you do too. Now hop on over to the TwistedSketches blog and join in on the fun. Don't forget to check out the fabulousness of the DT. Thanks.

Sweet

Color Throw Down #179 Poppy Parade, Crumb Cake, and Blushing Bride. This is a very CAS card, just the 3 colors of cardstock and one piece of double sided dsp! The flower is chip board that I colored with my markers. I think I got it to match up pretty close to the colors required. The Color Throw Down challenges have become some of my most favorite to play. If you'd like to play too just follow the link in this post.

Warm Hello

Warm Hello - Don't these color just scream warmth!? I certainly think so. Thses are the colors for the Color Throw Down this week - Summer Sun, Early Espresso, Cajun Craze and Very Vanilla. I know I added a little green in there but what is a flower without some leaves?I really like these colors combined together. They remind me of Fall, my favorite time of year. Hope you like them too!

Bevy

Today was a play day for my gal pal Deb and I. She arrived around 11 with lunch in hand and soon after we ate we got crafty! The top card on the far right was designed by Deb. The other 4 were my designs. We both love vintage/victorian so the card on the bottom far left was created using the bostier from the new Stampin' Up! set Rue Des Fleurs. If you have any interest in how any of these cards were created just leave your questions in the comments. I'd gladly respond.

Thanks a latte

This one is another Just For Fun card. I love this Tea Shoppe stamp set from Stampin' Up! sooo much. I stamped my cup in Early Espresso and then heat embossed with clear embossing powder. I craft cut it and popped it upi with dimensionals. The whipped cream is a digital image topper for a cup cake. I colored it with markers and then cut a slit for my handmade stir stick. I added some white Signo gel pen to the whipped cream and the stir stick. Put a little lacy table cloth on and added some twine and a sentiment. I love the way it turned out! Hope you like it too. If  you have any questions please ask them in the comments.

CASE-ing Lily Pad

I really enjoyed the video tutorial at Lily Pad this week. Was cute and fun. I didn't have the stamps and papers that they used so I flew by the seat of my pants and used Shirley's 2 Girls stamp set that I love. It's called love bug and the sentiment came in the set too!

Tea Shoppe

Today I am featuring a card I created using the NEW kit I am offering.

This one is simple as pie! Stampin' Up! Products used:
CS -- Marina Mist, Very Vanilla, Whisper White
Stamps - Tea Shopper (in kit)
Ink - Island Indigo, Versa Mark
EP - white
EF - Elegant Bouquet
Ribbon - Baja Breeze Pleated Ribbon (in kit)
Buttons - Twitterpated two blue and one pink (in kit)
Charm - Trinket Hearts -- love (in kit)
Twine - white

My card is 4.125" w x 5.5" h. The Very Vanilla cardstock was cut at 4"w x 5.125" h and run through my Big Shot using the Elegant Bouquet embossing folder. Then using a dauber I rubbed the Island Indigo ink over the raised areas. Cut a piece of the pleated Baja Breeze ribbon at 5" and taped it around back of the Very Vanilla cs.

The tea cup was stamped in Versa Mark and heat embossed with white embossing powder. Then I used the dauber again and rubbed the ink around over whiping excess ink off. Then I craft cut the tea cup out. I attched the tea cup with Dimensionals foam adhesives. The I tied the little "love" charm on the handle with white twine. Tied some little bows of white twine in my buttons and attached them with glue dots.

This card was completed in about 25 minutes. Easy Peasy Lemon Squeazy.

CASE-ing Michelle Zindorf

I tried to CASE The Path Tutorial #483 by Michelle Zindorf. Her card was created using Stampin' Up! Well Worn Designer Series Paper, item number 122359. I didn't have any of that dsp so I just grabbed a scrap I had laying around.
Where Michelle's card used shades of browns, for my card (since my base paper was a green with a grass pattern) I chose to use Always Artichoke and Old Olive, Pool Party, Marina Mist and Island Indigo with Early Espresso.

I LOVE just about everything Michelle does so for me to attempt her tutorials is quite high praise and flattering to her.

Thanks Michelle for the inspiration.

New Baby

This is a card I made for my niece and nephew on the birth of my new great niece, Aubree Angelina Rivera. The face of the card is my own design. If I can ever figure out how I did it, I will try my hand at a tutorial. All I can tell you right now is I started with a Daffodil Delight 12 x 12 sheet of cs. I cut it down to 5 1/2" x 12". Then from the short end (5 1/2") I measured 2 1/2" from the edges and cut at a diagonal towards the other end of the 12" side. Then I accordian folded the yellow piece and adhered it to a 4.125" x 5.5" card blank of Pumpkin Pie. All the dsp is Stampin' Up! Twitterpated and the images are from MO's Digital Pencil. I colored with Copics. I know Aubree is a sweet little girl baby but sometimes PINK just doesn't work for me. I love green so I decided to stick to the color I know. Hope you enjoyed looking. Sentiments are from Verve.

Sweet Celebration

This was just for fun because I haven't used some of my older markers in a while and wanted to see just what I could come up with. This is a digi but I can't remember where I got it from. I think maybe Gina K.

CTD177

ColorThrowDown #177 - Black, Melon Mambo and White. It really is an elegant color combo! I used Stampin' Up! set from my KIT OFFER to stamp the little tea cups and sentiment. I stamped the cups in pink. I stamped the flowers in Basic Black and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. With my markers I inked up the sentiment stamp and then cut with the NEW SU Framelits Labels (smallest). While the cs was still in the Framelit I daubed ink around the edges. Added some black stitched grosgrain ribbon and a hot pink swirl grosgrain ribbon, a button and twine and three little hot pink brads. Done!
