Colour Me...! Subtle

Whisper White, Marina Mist, Sahara Sand and So Saffron are the colors for the challenge at Colour Me...! blog this time. Below is my card. The little boy image is from Lili of the Valley. I have colored him 3 times this weekend. I just love him soooo much! I am sorry, I am not sure where the sentiment stamp came from as it is a loose rubber stamp in a little plastic baggy all by itself. There is no company name anywhere on it. But it expresses exactly how I feel when I am fishing or most times when I am creating and things just don't seem to be working as I had planned.

Color Me...! Green with Envy

Color Me...! Striking! Garden Green, Pear Pizzaz plus Neutrals.

Ok, those of you who know me, and know me WELL, know this challenge was created for me! Green is my favorite color. This was sooooo much fun to create!

I made an easel of Pear Pizzaz. Then on Whisper White I stamped the flower and stem from SU! Crazy For You stamp set. The sentiment is from SU! Good Greetings Hostess set. I added some glittered flowers and leaves from Prisma. Some rhinestones from Stampin' Up! and this one is complete!

Happy as a bird

Today I'll be as happy as a bird with a french fry. Unity SOTW.
This card was created for the Tuesday Morning Challenge. I started off the a piece of watercolor paper. Then I spritzed it with Tim Holtz Distress Spray Stain in Peacock Feathers. I got a little heavy handed, but once it was dry I loved the effect. I then wrapped a piece of yellow and clear dotted washi tape around one end. Then cut and placed a piece of pink satin ribbon over that. Then I stamped my Unity stamp on whisper white cs. I colored with my Prisma watercolor pencils. I die cut using SU! Framelits dies. Added a little fuzzy ball and bead charm and stamped the sentiment. Matted that onto a piece of Chartreuse cs. Called this one down!

If you like this card layout and would like to try your hand at the sketch, pop on over to Tuesday Morning Challenges and give it a go! Click HERE.

Happy Bird-day

Today's card was created with the Craft Your Passion challenge #251 in mind -- Anything Goes.

I recently purchased the chalk board cs from SU! and the 3 chalk ink pads that coordinate. I stamped the Tiered Birdcage from Stampendous! with the Yellow Citrus chalk ink. Then I heat embossed with clear embossing powder. Added a jeweled flower from Jodie Lee Designs at Prima and a little banner from October Afternoon's Cakewalk Little Flyers. I matted the chalk board cs on a piece of craft cs then onto a piece of Coastal Cabana then onto my tangerine card base. With some white craft ink I smudged with a dauber just to give it that chalk smudged look. The sentiment is handwritten.

Hope you like my card. If you want to play along with the challenge you can jump over to the blog from HERE.

Green Monochromatic

Found this beauty created by Marion Vagg on Pinterest. So then I created this.

What a beautifully fun, creative and simple technique.
Here's how I did it!
I Stamped the lovely Fancy Flower from Chocolate Baroque in Versa Mark. Heat embossed with white embossing powder. Then using Copic marker #G07 Nile Green I flicked in the areas where I thought it would be darker. Then I stamped the butterfly from SU! set Nature Walk and added the dark green. I matted my image on SU! Whisper White cs. Then I mounted a piece of the same lime green cs to a matte of SU! Whisper White and ran it through my Big Shot inside the Spring Flowers ef from SU! A little bit of ribbon and bling from Making Memories and all that's left is to stamp Happy Birthday inside and this one is D-O-N-E!

Hope you enjoyed this card. I thank Marion Vagg for her inspiration on Pinterest.

Unda da sea

This card was created using a varied array of supplies.
I started with SU! Whisper White cs. Using a dauber I applied TSUKINEKO pigment inks -- Toffee, Imperial Purple, Deep Lagoon and Spanish Moss. Then placing a few different stencils in the bottom right hand corner I applied Imperial Purple and Blue Lagoon. Then with Staz-On Black I stamped Textures Water Droplets (CM-T3) from Designs by Ryn. I added white gel pen to highlight the droplets. I used a stencil from Layers of Color Natural Flourish and daubed on Spanish Moss.
Then on another piece of cs I stamped the little seahorse from Pink Paislee's Nantucket stamp set. With my daubers I rubbed on the TSUKINEKO inks. Then I took my Stickles and added some glitz. Lastly I added some rhinestones and call it done. Hope you like my little trip to the ocean. It's been mighty chilly here in North Central Texas for the past week. I was just envisioning some warmer temps.

Designs by Ryn has a challenge going on right now. So if you want to play along just click HERE and it will take you to the challenge.

Have a blessed day!
